Hotel The Boatel, hotel in Ghent

Set 800 metres from St Bavo's Cathedral, Hotel The Boatel is located in Ghent. Free WiFi access is available in this boat.

Captain Sven was very friendly and helpful, upon arrival providing us with a town map pinpointing all the interesting locations in Ghent. I am also grateful to him for letting me know of the existence of the Ghent LEZ, as the Boatel sits inside it (and he gave me instructions on how to register the vehicle online, and also what car park to use nearest to the Boatel as there is no on-street parking available - a small price to pay given the Boatel's central location!). The room was very nice, deceptively spacious considering we're in a converted river barge. It was amazing having the local wildlife (coots, ducks, crested grebes) hanging about so close to our windows! Breakfast was really nice, too!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Comic Art Hotel in Ghent, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by the vibrant atmosphere that perfectly blends artistic flair with a cozy, welcoming vibe. The decor is truly a highlight, featuring incredible comic art that adds a unique charm to every corner of the hotel. Each room is thoughtfully designed, creating a fun and playful environment that feels both comfortable and inspiring. I especially appreciated the attention to detail—everything from the quirky wall art to the neatly placed amenities made my stay feel special. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They were not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Their enthusiasm for the city and the hotel really enhanced my experience. Additionally, the hotel’s location is perfect. It’s within walking distance of many of Ghent’s top sights, making it easy to explore the city. Burgstraat 17 Apartment in Exclusive Patrician House in Medieval Ghent, hotel in Ghent

Boasting city views, Burgstraat 17 Apartment in Exclusive Patrician House in Medieval Ghent offers accommodation with a balcony, around 4.7 km from Sint-Pietersstation Gent.

The property is a stunning apartment. It has been beautifully renovated. It is well equipped with high quality furnishings and equipment. The central location and parking are great. There are stairs or a lift to the apartment which is on the second and third floors. There is a good information book left by the owner which is useful. There is a great restaurant next door but you need to book. There is also a bakery across the street. Although it is on a street with trams passing below they don’t wake you up as you sleep on the third floor and they seem to stop overnight.

We absolutely loved the spaciousness of the apartment and its child-friendly design. It was evident that great thought was put into making the environment safe and enjoyable for children, which made our stay relaxing and enjoyable as parents. Additionally, the kindness and attentiveness of the property owners truly stood out. They were incredibly accommodating and made sure we were comfortable, despite the ongoing external renovations. Their personal touches and concern for our well-being made our experience very special.

Very nice spacious apartment in walking distance from the city center and located near train station so you can get anywhere you need. We experienced no disturbance from the construction site. The apartmant can be considered baby-friendly as it wasn't full of things/decorations. In overal we had very pleasant stay.

This apartment was beautiful, felt homely and was very safe/secure. It is located in a fantastic spot, close to EVERYTHING! Perfect for a family of four (plus a toddler/baby as there is a porta cot). It was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay.

Perfect location, can walk to most major sites. Upgrade to a room with a river view, you won’t regret it! Nice bar area for an afternoon spiked coffee to warm you up after touring the castle around the corner. We were traveling with two small children and the hotel was able to provide two baby cribs for a small fee. Very large room accommodated the 4 of us!

IHG has a ‘Clean Promise’ which you can read it everywhere in the hotel. They score exceptionally high on this one considering the number of families with children who use the hotel. Keep up the good work! The staff is also friendly and helpful. One of them (Lorena, if am not mistaken) helped us correct a mistake with our points which some places had missed. As a family, we enjoyed our stay. It’s a good value for money.

We had a stylish family room with the kids on a sofa bed. There was plenty of room for everybody. The location is amazing - right in the heart of the city and the pool was a lovely touch which our children enjoyed after being dragged around the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was superb. View amazing, especially for parents of a young child who can't get out in an evening to enjoy the place. Baby facilities (cot, MATTRESS, high chair, toys) fab. Fairly toddler safe on both floors. One bedroom (smaller one) can be kept quite dark, the other less so. Apart from the tram noise and vibrations, it was really quite quiet, given its extremely Central location. Close to planes for breakfast. Host very lovely and helpful. Kitchen kitted out wonderfully, lots and lots of stuff in there and a dishwasher.
