Great view from the balcony overlooking the sea.
Plenty of variety at breakfast however it was the same everyday, there were coffee machines however if you did ask the waiter staff they would make you a fresh latte, etc.. so the staff could be more proactive and offer fresh coffee options at the table.

Dubrovnik is an amazing destination for both individual, family, and friends trips due to the impressive architecture (fortress and white marble streets, sea port) and rich history! The beaches are wonderful.
I definitely recommend to visit Old Town and port, and to swim in the sea (Lapad beach, Sunset beach, Valamar hotel beaches at Babin Kuk are great and highly recommended!).
Food is great, I strongly reccomend sea food in Barna (name of the cafes) - very tasty and reasonable price, located also in the Old Town!!!
Generally, it is quite an expensive resort, so it is good for the vacation combining sightseeing and beach rest!

A lovely city much restored and impressive.
A lovely city much restored and impressive. The people of the city were very polite and friendly despite being swamped by visitors 10 to 1.
The city's history is very interesting, and there are many places to visit inside the walls. We found the 3-day pass useful, if expensive, but be aware you can only enter each place once. Local Bus travel is Free and unlimited during these 3 days!
Everywhere was extremely clean and tidy. There are hundreds of steps inside the town and outside as the area is very hilly, but public transport is very good outside the town and not expensive. Uber is also available. English is widely spoken and menus and museum displays have English texts.
Prices are similar to central London (high) but the quality of the food, wine, beer and Ice Cream is very good. (Locals say prices rocketed when the currency converted to the Euro).
Fans of the "Game of Thrones" TV series should definitely enjoy visiting the town and seeing where so many scenes were filmed.
The many steps will be a challenge for some people, but I feel much fitter after 7 days there, despite the many ice creams!

Beautiful and historic city that is sadly being overrun by crowds. Cruise ships, tour buses, too many people. Still worth seeing for a short stay. If I ever come back I would stay somewhere outside the Old City. Lots of great restaurants, museums, shops. Walkable. Very very touristy.

Very beatiful old town, but Dubrovnik is way out overfilled.
Very beatiful old town, but Dubrovnik is way out overfilled. Every corner is full of people. Not a nice experience. Personal at bus station and in certain shops are rude and don´t seem to like tourists.
The bus shuttle that takes tourists to the airport is absolutely disastrous.
Bus station ticket sellers and shuttle bus drivers are rude and don´t make an effort to make tourists feel comfortable.
Dubrovnik is on the verge of collapsing due to excess tourist flow, even in a month like september.
Nothing more could be added to what has already been said about the apartment: 5 star +.
The inclusion of a couple of sun lounges would have been nice though as a few hours in the day were spent enjoying the superb vista.
For us, the best way to Dubrovnik Old Town was via the steps on `PUT OD BOSANKE` - just across from the taxi rank at the entrance to the town. After every 2nd step there`s a 2mtr long flat part that allows you to take a breather.....or to step aside for younger ones to overtake!
I really love this part of Dubrovnik. The hotel complex offers you a kind of isolation from the hustle and bustle of the old town. I love the large reception area, lovely and modern rooms with soft carpets and lovely bathrooms. I like the excellent food they serve for regular meals. I like restaurants by the sea and interestingly used rocks that have been turned into a beach. I love the smell of flowers that you can smell while walking on the promenade. We are happy to return to the Royal.
Everything was perfect. First they help us to organise our transfer from the airport to the hotel, taxi + water taxi (our taxi driver was a very nice man and we had a good chat about Dubrovnik during our way). The hotel is very organised and clean. All the staff are very friendly, in the restaurant and also in the bars. The all inclusive drinks and food are excellent. Great variety of food and drinks available in the all inclusive package.
The location is stunning, we love it!
It is not my first time in Rixos and I am always coming back. This hotel is located very close to city centre and you can reach old town of Dubrovnik by foot within 15 minutes of refreshing walk and meanwhile witnessing beautiful views but the best in this hotel is SPA and staff…that is why I always come back.
The location which includes parking and has a bus stop outside the front door for going in and out of Dubrovnik, is first class. The ONLY hotel right on the beach albeit a pebble one!
