Zagreb offers a beautiful mix of historical charm and contemporary sophistication, making it an excellent introduction to Croatia’s rich culture. While the cost of enjoying the city might surprise budget-conscious travelers, its vibrant energy, cultural depth, and picturesque surroundings are beautiful, however, the south has much more to offer for a similar price point, especially in the summer. If you want to visit an impressive city in the winter time, better go to Vienna.

Zagreb has a lively atmosphere and great hospitality.
Zagreb has a lively atmosphere and great hospitality. People is very kind. We were there for Christmas Markets: nice decorations, good music everywhere. A city to live on foot, but also well served by public transports, especially by trams. Old town is very nice, with lots of good restaurants serving Croatian food. During Christmas time a must-do is to skate on the wonderful ice arena in Tomislav Square.

Fascinating city lots too see and visit.
Fascinating city lots too see and visit. Didn’t appreciate effects of 2020 earthquake with cathedral and other building still closed undergoing restoration. Supposedly 40 plus museums. Strongest recommend the Technical TESLA museum. Be sure to be there for the tour of TESLA section and coal mine mock up.

New, very spacious and modern apartment in a good location. Convenient connection to the city center. Very friendly hosts - they greeted me with the key with a smile, answered every question precisely, took care of my comfort like the best hotels. The apartment is very clean, perfectly equipped above the standard for this type of apartments. I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Zagreb and the surrounding area. Very comfortable beds. Rooms although slightly outdated decor-wise, were clean and spacious. Location was good, ideal if arriving in Croatia late at night as the hotel is close to the airport and provides late check ins and free parking. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was varied and delicious, also included in the room rate.
