A very interesting place with lots of history and amazing restaurants - many hidden away - and with nearby beaches and stunning scenery. Parts of town are a little rough, but people are friendly. Reminded us of New Orleans. Take a day-long boat trip with Big Beard - not to be missed. Our stay at the Buccaneer Resort was fantastic! Rent a car so you can check out the whole island

Great location on the boardwalk near all activities.
Great location on the boardwalk near all activities. Many restaurants, bars, historical buildings, fort, streets and excursions to see, experience and take part of. This is an old historic city on a picturesque island with a multitude of things to do. Our hotel was in a great location but lacking the renovated pool and outdoor space. When looking for a great island tour contact Jacobs Tours.

Be flexible.
Be flexible. Make plans for dinner early in the day, as web-based information for restaurants is not always correct. Many places have either closed or have limited hours or staff. The roads of St Croix are not predictable. Drive slow and be aware of potholes or severe problems with roads. The people of St Croix are friendly, and try their best to be accommodating, but sometimes they can't do what you were expecting. It's a beautiful island and the weather is lovely.

Extremely clean and rich in history!!
Extremely clean and rich in history!!
Residents are genuinely kind and helpful - don't be surprised if you are walking along and someone stops to offer you are ride!
The boardwalk was a favourite haunt due to the hub of activity (i.e Tours et al.,) as bounded by restaurants and stores on one side along with entertainment and the beautiful sea on the other. Water is so clear that one can actually see varied sea life of all sizes, shapes and colours.
I would also suggest visiting Gallows Bay which is where I enjoyed chatting with the locals.
Galangal is definitely must for dining!!
Took a combination of over 600 pictures and video but could not decide which ones to upload. The bottom line is that one needs to visit.

Downtown area is very small.
Downtown area is very small. Everything closes at 8pm after that is like ghost town. Beaches are beautiful, come here if you are looking to spend your days in amazing beaches and don’t care about night life.

Quite scenic and situated well with several beaches and ocean accessibility. Downtown shops and restaurants have local ambiance and hospitable service; Loved the greenery -- mountains and local people very friendly and helpful.
This hotel is in the ideal location. You simply walk down from your room and you are on the beach. The beach bar is great too. I read many reviews stating that the hotel is in need of repairs and renovations... all of which is definitely true, but the location makes this your best hotel choice in Christiansted. Other hotels will have you taking a water ferry to the beach instead of simply walking to it from your room.
The best part of the stay was Natalie, the hostess during my stay- helpful, cheerful, and present. The location was really great- especially for the price. A five minute walk to Christiansted and all of its amenities. The short walk comes in handy when it’s time to meet your charter boat (check out Bucks Island) or after a few painkillers or rum punch!
The breakfast was not continental. The bagels was hard and the fruits was old. There need to be another name for the breakfast but not continental. I liked the quietness of the area and everything you need is in the hotels area. I had no disturbs from any staff or guest. It was a relaxing weekend.
Excellent breakfast made to order each morning with friendly and courteous staff. The facilities were newly painted and beds were clean.
Location is about 20 minutes from Christiansted, 40 minutes from Fredericksted and a short distance from Canebay beach.
.The location was perfect. I loved the quaint, boutique hotel atmosphere. It's just beautiful! The ladies at the front desk were so friendly, especially Lanelle. Such a delight and made us feel so welcome. That made our stay that much better! I'll be back!
This location was great for us! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the beach access a few steps away from the hotel. The boat people who took us to Christiansted were always friendly and on point. Overall great experience.
Gabrielle was a very gracious host and made me feel very welcome. Her apartments are very spacious and artistically decorated. The location was only a few minute walk to the main bars and restaurants on the boardwalk in Christiansted.
Gabrielle was a very gracious and accommodating host and both of the rooms or apartments were very spacious and artistically innovative. Also it was a mere 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants on the boardwalk in Christiansted.
Comfortable rooms, water views from the balcony, easily walkable to everything in Christiansted, helpful staff (minus the issue mentioned below), well-done renovations with modern touches but keeping the building's character.
Beautifully renovated hotel offering esquisite vistas along the shoreline of downtown Christiansted. The hotel's vibrant waiting area included rare table-sized books by artist Fritz Henle and was a welcoming surprise!
The location was within blocks of EVERYTHING including fantastic restaurants, the boardwalk, the company for our Buck Island tour and a quick boat ride away from Hotel on the Cay with a cool beach and beach bar!
The Water Taxi Captains were amazing! Hats off to Noel, Miles and Roger who made our trip excellent! The hospitality from EVERYONE was AMAZING! We all highly recommend Hotel on the Cay!
The staff was very welcoming and helpful! Locationwise it is a very good spot in Christiansted, and even if there is music at the bars you dont get disturbed from it in the room.
The location was good. Just outside Christiansted. There was a power plant close by so a little noisy. The beach was beautiful. The restaurant was good. Wonderful people there.
I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the room in general as well as the location of the hotel. I also liked the comfort of the bed and the room on a whole.
