The rooms were very clean. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The electricity on our wing of the 1st floor went out. My husband needs a c pap machine to sleep with. They were extremely helpful and gave us an upgraded room that had electricity. We really enjoyed our stay there.🙂

Very dog friendly. The hotel checkin had dog treats and lots of grassy areas for pet relief with dog bags and pail. It was close to the private beach, heavenly village, and casinos. We walked everywhere. Free parking was great too.

The location is pretty good and quite easy to find. The room are clean and comfy too. Breakfast is very very basic - microwaved breakfast muffins. But good deal in general.

Minden has German heritage and a lot of white people. Many homes have historical markers and it is interesting to go for a walk in the neighborhoods near downtown. There is another nice walk east along Buckeye Road. Carson Valley Swim Center is a very nice indoor facility, good for families. There are several enjoyable restaurants. It could be a good stop for travelers on Highway 395. I go there to visit family.

Be careful when you reserve the room. Carson Valley Casino Inn and Carson Motor Lodge Inn are not the same, they have the same address on website but different location. The Carson Motor Lodge Inn, is old hotel, very smelly, no staff assistant in hotel. Not comfortable. The price for room is not right, too expensive. It looks like you stay in Motel 6 but pay around $180 per night.

There are a couple of good restaurants, but dining is average overall. Minden is close to the state capital, Carson City. There are many historic buildings in both cities. There are outings in the area, to Virginia and Truckee railroad, Virginia City, Genoa, wild horses, hiking, fishing, and hot springs.

Great venue for the car show.
Great venue for the car show. Enjoyed driving around later in the residential neighborhoods. Didn't realize how big an area Minden covered. Didn't enjoy the Casino.....too much cigarette smell.
Wouldn't mind living there in one of the older, tree lined areas.
We often stay here when skiing in South Lake Tahoe. It is an easy drive, roughly 45 minutes to Kirkwood and 30 to Heavenly. Though, I wouldn't recommend the drive during a winter storm. The room was recently renovated. Everything was clean. Staff was friendly. The motor-lodge does not have a pool or spa. You'd have to walk across the large parking lot to the main building to get to these services. You can't beat the price.
We stayed here after being evacuated from South Lake Tahoe, in the middle of the night. The staff was excellent and made us feel welcome. The first thing they asked was if we had a pet, which we did. Letting us have our cat, Molly, stay here made all the difference. We are thankful for you guys taking care of all these displaced families in our time of need! Thank you!
Convenient location with easy access to route 395, Lake Tahoe. Rooms are newly renovated, comfortable, and price is quite reasonable. Great alternative to staying at more expensive hotels.

The room I reserved was not in the hotel facilities but in an alternate building. next to a gas station. we should have paid more to stay inside the hotel
