The hotel is located right on a small harbor. It's clean and reasonably comfortable. They have a nice restaurant which served a free breakfast every morning. The staff was welcoming and helpful. It is close to Ayvalik's old town and an easy walk distance to a larger harbor where we booked a wonderful cruise to the nearby islands. The beaches are about 15 minutes away via the micro-buses which run past the hotel every few minutes.

I went to Ayvalik to catch the Turyol ferry to Mitilíni, Lesbos, Greece. I was only there for one night but could easily have stayed 2-3. It's very walkable depending on the heat index, with beaches and national parks within a few KM of the town center. There are cool old churches, intimate shops, photogenic street cats and dogs, and great-looking cafes in Ayvalik. Some are closed on Mondays. It's easy to get to Ayvalik from Istanbul--take Turkish Airlines to Edremit, then the local bus that will be waiting when you come out of the airport (they only take credit cards--144 Turkish lira, so a great deal). I had the best meal I had over 6 days in Turkey (mainly Istanbul) at the Camocel Restaurant just down the sidewalk from the Camlik 87 Hotel)--local, fresh, a pleasant server. The restaurant is in the Ayvalik MariCAMotel, which I would check out if I was going to be in this town again. The local olive oil is out of this world--light, flavorful. With a few tips from hotel staff, I found the local commuter van to be cheap and easy to use. If you want to be able to swim, you may need a car or taxi to get to the big beaches. The taxi I tried to reserve no-showed (which is how I discovered the commuter van thanks to help from the Camlik 87 Hotel staff).

Ayvalik is a nice place to spend a day or two.
Ayvalik is a nice place to spend a day or two. You can visit island Cunda by boat. Walk in the streets, see some attractions (museums, church, mosque eyc), enjoy nice food, soups, vegetables etc. If you have time consder taking the boat from Ayvalik to Greek island Lesbos-Midilli and spend few days there for a nice and quiet sea vacation. We stayed in Erresoss region in september and liked it. We plan to go again and explore more places in the island. Prices and quality offood wrre quite good and standard ( no surprises despite ig is a touristic place)

Small seaside town for the not fast rest and sea time.
Small seaside town for the not fast rest and sea time. You can walk at old streats, near sea, have a good meal: sweets, fruits and meat). Lots of olive oil and cheese shops. I like Ayvalik! Especily trips to the Ilands. It is great!
We had a fantastic experience right in the heart of old town Ayvalik in this authentic hotel. Incredibly helpfull and friendly staff as well. I would recomend this hotel always!
They have a Turkish restaurant with lovely live music as well.
If you drive yourself, just phone them 5 min before you are in Ayvalik. They will organise to meet you and assist in navigating you to the hotel. This is important as old town Ayvalik has very narrow alleyways and you do not want to end up navigating on your own.
The family who run the hotel are great - so friendly and helpful. They arranged a transfer for me from the airport which made everything calm and easy even though I arrived at night. I enjoyed every minute staying here, had a great breakfast with an amazing view, and delicious olives which I then bought in Ayvalik on their recommendation. The pool was beautiful, as was the view, again over the olive trees. Would love to stay here again.
Exquisitely charming hilltop mansion in a lovely little island village overlooking the sea. The indoor swimming pool was a surprising welcome benefit, and the wind was so amazing to watch and listen to as it swept over the village.
The breakfast included individual personalized dishes made to order!
Calling it the Pensiyon Cunda Labris does it a disservice! This hotel is a veritable jewel of a fine boutique hotel!!
Gule Hotel has made our Cunda trip prettier. Lovely building, well-designed clean rooms, organic olive-based products, a wide range of amazing breakfast, sincere welcoming, and so on... The owner, Sehnaz Hanım, helped us with all the tips on the bars & restaurants, the beaches, and the places which are worth a visit. The best location in Cunda to stay. Looking forward to our next visit to Gule Hotel.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a seafront location with a beautiful view at the restaurant which has a good layout&decoration. Rooms are quite comfortable and I think renovated. Bed is comfy, lighting in the room & bathroom are bright. The colors of the hotel are nautical. Snack restaurant at the beach has a nice ambiance. Massage was relaxing.
Very kind and helpful staff. The hotel is right next to a small beach which makes it very convenient for a quick dip in the water. There are frequent mini buses that commute between Ayvalik city center and the beaches that are a bit further away. I would say the hotel is in a very nice location as it is right outside the center while being conveniently connected.
Lunaria is such a cute and quaint little place! I am staying in Ayvalik for the summertime but needed a mini break from work, so I treated myself to two nights in the hotel. It was lovely and quiet. The water pressure and hot water was amazing (in case anyone cares as much about that as me). The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was great!
It was genuinely a fantastic experience. Location, breakfast, accommodation conditions, cleanliness, and a host like I've never met before- more than welcoming, and full of valuable recommendations. Just in love with this place and it's warm, savoury atmosphere. I would say the best place to stay in Cunda!
The room I was initially assigned had no heating, But They changed the room right away. A room with a view of the sea. Clean. The hotel had good breakfast and the friendliness and kindness of the staff was impressive. Maybe because it's winter...but they keep repairing and maintaining it.
The location is the heart of Cunda Island. You can reach the all restaurants and shops in a 5 min walk. everybody knows car parking is a very big problem in Cunda. The hotel has a private parking area. You would die for their Turkish Breakfast.
Great staff is always there for you and helps with anything, Amazing.locatiob in the heart of Ayvalik between dozens of coffee shops, restaurants, small workshops, and a flea market and not too touristic.
Great location, best view of town!!!. Clean and comfortable rooms with a balcony that has a very beautiful view. And ofcourse very friendly people that run this boutique hotel. Highly recommended.
The people who managed the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. They sent us messages beforehand to ensure we arrived safely and were helpful with locating breakfast places for us.
On the positive side, the hotel's location was convenient, and the service provided by the staff was good. They were polite and attentive, which added a positive note to my stay.
