Absolutely gorgeous gem! It's been my third time being there. They have one of the best spas I've seen in any hotel + a decent breakfast. It's feels like a true 5 star hotel

Banska Stiavnica is a UNESCO-protected medieval town with a long history in mining. Apart from being a compact enjoyable town to walk around, there is plenty on the topic of mining to learn about. The tourist map describes different walks to explore it. There are various museums and the possibility to visit a mine. I visited the Kammerhof museum with a wonderful audio guide. Beyond the mining history, one could visit galleries, the cavalry as well as the nativity scene. One could relax on the tajchs. Unfortunately, the love bank, an exhibition exploring world‘s longest love poem Marina, burned down in 2023 but it is planned to re-open in 2026.

A treasure chest of historical buildings, a very picturesque UNESCO protected heritage town. Swim in nearby lakes - tajchs in summer (Klinger, Studenec, Richnava, Pocuvadlo, etc.). Visit Divna Pani cafe, the Ruin Bar, Monarchia Restaurant for fab food and Klopacka tea rooms for tea experience. Enjoy, it is worth visiting and taking time to relax and explore its beauty.

Banska Stiavnica is the best medieval city, it is ideal to hide from the world and feel at home. It has everything - Holy Trinity Square with a plague pillar, Old and New castles, a miniature wooden city, its own botanical garden, Calvary, the House of Love, a musical clock on the town hall that plays melodies several times a day, several unique bars and many cafes with unusual interiors and amazing cuisine. Children really like the city, and it has excellent conditions for them. In the surrounding area there are unique mines, lakes, Antol Castle, and Mount Sitno, which you can climb.

I liked the most the nature, there are many trees within the city and around, you can hear birds everywhere. The houses, the roofs, the streets were nice. There is even a vegan restaurant Lemberg bistro which we visited twice. Also there is a nice shop Diela dielka with friendly staff.

Quaint little town nestled in the hills.
Quaint little town nestled in the hills. Plenty of museums to visit, always some events and festivals going on. There are a lot of artificial lakes around and options for walking and hiking. We always go without a car and the place is compact enough to visit by public transport and on foot. Our favourite place for an evening chat and a game is the Klopačka teahouse.

Excellent location in the heart of Banska Stiavnica, just a step away from all the local attractions. The host was very friendly - we had some issues with receiving the check-in instructions through the booking.com app. She reached out proactively and shared them separately to make sure we were all set for the check-in. She helped us find parking and offered suggestions for place to eat. The place is brand new, beautifully furnished and very clean. We also asked for a baby crib on top of the booking which was arranged free of charge.

One of the best hotels we've been to. The room was at a level that I'd expect in a hotel that's 2x the price. Very clean, large, everything was new. There is also an amazing view of the town.
