Really nice hotel, in a refurbished little palace, with a lot of charm. Very comfortable and nicely decorated place in a very good taste. Also, there is a very nice terrace with a view over the city and a small garden in the rear. The restaurant offers chef-quality treats at a very fair price.
Finally, the kind of service you find in a 5-star hotel, where the staff is extremely devoted to providing very professional service and making you feel very welcome.
All in a very inviting price, which must come from the fact the hotel just opened recently.

This hotel is unique and exceptional. There is no reason not to stay here. Communication with the hotel was excellent, and our welcome was warm and friendly.
The hotel is totally unique, and an old building where every corner has interesting features and furniture. The long walk up the wooden stairs is wonderful.
The room was light, warm, comfortable, and huge. The bed was very comfortable and views over the city. Location is also perfect. There is nothing I would change, I just recommend this place

Quaint little town nestled in the hills. Plenty of museums to visit, always some events and festivals going on. There are a lot of artificial lakes around and options for walking and hiking. We always go without a car and the place is compact enough to visit by public transport and on foot. Our favourite place for an evening chat and a game is the Klopačka teahouse.

I have been returning to Banská Štiavnica for years, this was my 10th visit and I will probably never get enough of its cute narrow streets, beautiful houses, the city landscape offering amazing views and cute places (coffees, restaurants) where you can get refreshed after day in the city or in the nature. And it is super close to the beautiful nature, there are many lovely places one can visit over and over. It is definitely a must see when you visit this part of Slovakia.

The historical center is really nice to walk through.
The historical center is really nice to walk through. Not very big in size, but rich in sights and differently styled cafes, which I really enjoyed.
Other than that, you can visit Kalvaria, which is located on the hill outside of the center. The fact, that it's being currently renovated and the strong history of the place makes it a really plesent sight to see. Especially when you are religious.
For romantic people, or for those who want to know about the longest love poem in the world, you can visit the love bank. It tells a true story from few centuries ago, at the place where it happened, about strong love and obstacles that come with it. You can even store your love story in the bank.
I would say the city has many things to offer to get you back for another time.

The town is picture perfect!
The town is picture perfect! There are numerous restaurants, cafes, wine bars & pubs. Everywhere we went we had excellent and friendly service! There are several tourist attractions; churches, castles and just exploring the town. A wonderful place to loose yourself in history. A must see 😊

We really enjoyed our stay at Domček 555, it was an authentic experience in an older house typical for Banská Štiavnica, not a posh hotel in the city centre. It was super clean and very well equipped. We appreciated also the location in a quiet neighbourhood, surrounded by nature, but still within the walking distance to the city centre.
The location and surroundings were fantastic, the apartment is absolutely stunning! It was quiet and calm, rustic and very tastefully furnished. The owner or a staff member was always at the site so the communication was also great! If I ever come back to Banska Stiavnica, this is where I am staying :)
A very beautiful house in a beautiful location. The equipment was great. The views from the hill above the house were unforgettable. The children ran wild with joy. Walks to Banská Štiavnica were also suitable for children. A very nice nature trail leads directly from the house to Štiavnica.
The hotel is tastefully decorated, fitting the historical nature of its neighbourhood. The room was also very clean and tidy. I would like to emphasize Timea's remarkable helpfulness and flexibility; she is truly an invaluable asset to the establishment.

Great location, right in the center of Banska Stiavnica. There was a kitchen we could use which was fully equipped. We were even able to check in earlier! We only stayed 1 night but we were satisfied with this accommodation.
The interior is impressive but I was amazed by the exterior even more. Lot of space (space is precious in Banska Stiavnica), big garden with a great space to relax. I have spend lot of time just reading and sitting outside.
