Basically we did not stay in the cave rooms but we were relocated to the Java Hotel just down the road and it is a lovely hotel all round and ideally located to visit the caves.

We loved the area, away from the crowd. It was quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. We stayed in one of many huts which had all you need for the stay. The camp has playgrounds and places like swimming pool where you can relax too. We didn't get to use the swimming pool as it was open only hours when we were out and about ,away from the camp.
Kitchen could do with some extra utensils bits, like bigger cups, kettle, knives, wooden spoons.
The restaurant is placed at the top of one of the larger cave with a beautiful view and they have a very good selection of food.
It is a short walk from the camp to Postojna caves through the woods 3km, (by shortcut, not on the road).Definitely a nice place for outdoor lovers, biking or hiking.
It would be nice if there was a camp fire pit, we didn't ask to be honest, so maybe we have not seen it. To sum up - we like the place a lot and we would come back.

The cave is an unmissable experience, but the town itself is also very atmospheric for a short walk.
Main squere and the church is very nice.
We tried Mal'ca Kebab restaurant and Pizzeria Cuk. Both were very good with solid prices.

What a secret gem!
What a secret gem! We stumbled upon Postojna by accident and we are so glad we did. Slovenia is beautiful and the people here are wonderful. The food is amazing and the cave tour was by far one of the best excursions I have ever done.

From Centre you can walk to the spectacular caves.
From Centre you can walk to the spectacular caves. There are also many walks around the countryside (riverside walks and woodland walks.) There are supermarkets to stock up on essentials....Tuc supermarket has a good bakery too.
The cafe in the central square is very pleasant and has a good selection of ice cream.
From the caves you need to hire or share a taxi to the equally spectacular castle. (In the summer there maybe a shuttle bus).

There were two major attractions, the Postojna cave and Predjama castle, I recommend both.
We were looking for a traditional Slovenian restaurant, but didn't find one nearby (or at least it's not on google).

Magnificent huge cave; nice train trip inside. Plenty to watch, sadly the guide offered a fast forward tour, the cave was packed with people, you didn’t have time to see or take pictures. They should restrict number of people allowed/tour or time visit when extremely crowded. There are time admissions which you can reserve, but they are useless because they also accept direct bookings on spot ☹
I stayed at Guesthouse Sanabor for one night on my 10 day trip around the exceptionally beaufitul country of Slovenia.
The owners were very welcoming and hospitable right from the start with the offer of a fruit brandy on arrival.
The Guesthouse was very quiet and my double room was basic but very clean and comfortable.
Guesthouse Sanabor is highly recommended for an overnight stay in this part of Slovenia close to the amazing Postojna cave.
The Avio Pub is a very short distance away and recommended for its pizzas.
Really enjoyed staying here. It was a lovely quiet spot very convenient to the bus & a short walk or local bus ride to the Caves. The hostess spoilt us with chocolates & biscuits & also responded quickly to messages on booking.com. It was great that we could easily drop off our luggage before check-in. We had use of a fridge which was great. We felt very welcomed here & very comfortable. Very much recommend this place. Very nice not rushing away after the castle & cave trips.
Very close to Predjama Castle and Postojna cave and a grocery. We enjoyed preparing dinner in the apartment. The beds were very comfortable, the full bath was very large with shower and two sinks and we loved that there was also a 1/2 bath (toilet and sink). The living room and sofa were relaxing and the table for dinner and breakfast for the four of us was very ample. Besides all of that it was absolutely gorgeous and tastefully indulgent. Beautiful property overall.
The farm is located about halfway between Skojan and Postojna Caves. Our room overlooked the back pasture so we did not view or hear the highway that cuts across the north side of the property. The host can arrange a great dinner at their restaurant. There is a nice playground out front.

Amazing hosts... very friendly with classy and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was adjusted based on our preference and was really delicious. Proximity is 10 mins drive to Postonja Caves and right next to Aveo pub which also have a great menu.

Good location - only a short walk to the local shops, a couple of takeaways and a decent bar nearby too! Around 20 minutes walk away from the Postojna Caves / similar to the train station. My daughter and I enjoyed using the table tennis and social area for games.
Great place to stay! Very close to the Postojna Cave, you could even walk there. The hosts (Mira and Boris) are very friendly and responsive - they gave valuable pointers about having a meal. We only stayed one night but felt like we were here longer.
Wonderful little family-run hotel - owner and his family were really nice, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was the best one ever. Owner's Siberian cat was super cute as well. The place is about 10 minutes walk from the cave.
Excellent location for the castle and caves. Room was big beds very comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of choice and was always being topped up. Staff very helpful and friendly a great stay. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Great accommodation just few minutes walk from Postojna Cave. Rooms clean and well equipped. Lovely garden with children playground. Free parking place. Everything was amazing.
This hotel has lovely fixtures and fittings. Great views from the balcony and only 50m to the Cave. Staff were very helpful , breakfast had a good selection.
