A nice place to visit during season, as if you go off season it will be a bit deserted. You have three different regions in Mamaia, one where the fair is, there is a bit crowded but the prices for food are more ok, second is the middle part( here the downside is the bicycle lane that goes right thru the middle of the waking area so you always need to pay attention not to get hit) , where you have some nice restaurants but if you want to go to the water it will take for ever as the beaches where enlarged and the third one is Mamaia Sat where the hotel look a bit nicer, the water is close by, but the prices are the highest.

Family beaches with sun beds and umbrellas for rental are great but you can just put your towel down and swim too. Excellent for evening walks and lots of good music available, like Princess Beach Club and Nuba Club.

Long beaches, large enough the width of the beaches, nice modern buildings....from a distance, all are good! But, come to the closer, try to drive between buildings, big shock! There is no asphalt road, no side walk, nothing, there is no surface clean and green! All you can see, stone, sand, and dust!...Beach sand quality, sea water quality are poor. Restaurants near beaches are not enough and also expensive.

It is the second time we stay at Splendid Hotel and we'll surely come back next year (great food, pool).
You can walk/run on the beach, visit old citadels (Enisala, Histria, Capidava, Adamclisi etc.), the museums (”Dinu și Sevasta Vintilă” museum in Topalu, Museum of National History and Archeology Constanta etc.), see Cheile Dobrogei / Gorges of Dobrogea, The Great Mosque in Constanta (Carol Mosque), The Casino and many more.

Wish, hope and pray for some improvement for the following season...
The hotel is excellent. Brand new, sharp clean, and with very advanced access control in room and hotel (there is a code setup for you that you use at the room or at the main hotel entry - so no need to carry about the key card - never seen this before in a hotel in Romania).
The hotel is cozy, nicely decorated with attention to the smallest details.
The lake view worth al the money from restaurant, room and even form the shower :)

The location is very good, right on the seaside, and the view from the room and from the spa were very beautiful. The beach is steps away from the hotel, and we enjoyed laying on the sunbeds even if it was 1st of October. Breakfast was good, pretty various, but I would've enjoyed more vegan options, especially some plant-based milk for the coffee.
Last, but not least, I want to mention that all the staff was very friendly and helpful, both on the phone and face to face.
Breakfast was basic but plentiful, food was constantly supplemented. Omelet was very tasty. Sausages good quality.
The beach was clean and well organized and the hotel was right across from the beach.
Bathroom had a generous supply of soap and lotion, shower had hot water.
The hotel was very close to bus M100 connecting Mamaia to the rail station Gara, for only 2.5 Ron and running every 5 min.
The room. Was extremely clean, clean white sheets that can be changed whenever you want, comfy bed and clean towels every day.

The hotel was amazing , everything looked good modern and clean, the view of the sea was amazing and they even upgraded our room to a higher level free of charge, it was amazing and I really loved it, the only regret I have after this vacation is that I couldn't try the outside pool, because it was cold outside.
Not a 4 star hotel. At least not half of it. The pictures did not match, the room was dirty and old. Under the bed there was food we never ordered like skittles. (Only noticed this on the last day when checking to make sure we don’t forget anything). Very disappointed.
The hotel is newly renovated, the furniture was clean and the rooms very modern. Good price, good location, very close to the beach and the main street with plenty of restaurants, also, we had an amazing view.
