If you're coming to Oslob for Whale Shark watching this is the place to stay.
The hostel is basically 10 steps away from the registration office(and the place where boats depart from). For the additional 100 pesos the owner wakes up at 2am to register you and her family members wait in the queue for you making sure you can use the first boat in the morning.
The owner and her family are super friendly and very very helpful.

Even got great scooters on property you can rent in great shape used one 8 days had a blast loved that you can walk out back down into the water an go swimming found sea stars and crabs and other fish snorkeling 🤿

Swimming with the whale shark is what we went to Oslob for. After it was done, we just relaxed at W Golf resort and was able to finally enjoyed our vacation. We have been moving everyday and was too exhausted to do other tours. The town could use more restaurant that offer breakfast to the foreigners. I did find one Le Bistrot.

The queue was very long but it was worth the wait.
The queue was very long but it was worth the wait. We waited for about 4 hours before we were able to board the boat to view the sharks but it was worth it. The guides and staff are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely visit again. Next time I will try to avail of the online booking.

If you love swimming with whales, Oslob is your place. It is an ideal stopover if you want to explore farther into Negros island (Dumaguete City) and the smaller and enchanting islands of Sumilon and Siquijor..

Having at least 2 days in Oslob can be recommended but 1 day is good as well if you plan it properly. The timings for Whale shark watching are very early and should be done early as well to enjoy the best views and cleaner water. Sumilon island should be visited as well a bit in the morning to avoid the sun during the noon time. It can get hot.

Oslob is a lovely island, with plenty of nature and interesting views. La Terrasse is a restaurant almost in front of Whale shark watching, and definitely worth checking. Excellent menu! To get around, best way is trying tricycles, as they have best prices.
It’s also worth visiting the city, where the cuartel is located. It has such a great view and the food in the city has amazing prices.
The hotel is right next door to the whale Shark spot which allows you to literraly be the first in the water to the big fishes. Too many cockroaches in the room unfortunatelly but because you only come to Oslob for whale Shark it's fine regarding the price of the room
The hotel is located right in front of the whale shark watching area. It has a beautiful garden, and it was truly amazing to watch the sunrise from there. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly in securing our place to meet the whale sharks.
