Peter´s farm hostel is 3km´s outside Waipiata and even more remote than Waipiata itself. Stunningly beautiful landscape.
Waipiata has got a quite "quirky" hotel/pub with very unusual interior. Probably not everybody's taste, but imaginatively ecclectic.
Food is very good and reasonably priced
