Easy to book, good communication in the lead up to stay. Calming decor and 99% updated. Some nice basic cooking things, i.e., toaster, chopping board, electric fry pan, plates, cutlery, can opener.
Heater was handy given it was winter when we stayed. I liked the bed but my husband made a comment about being uncomfortable.Spa was enjoyed by my husband.

It was superb! The staff were amazing and sympathetic, making me feel right at home. The surfboard rental with wetsuit was top-notch, and having access to a car was incredibly convenient. The jacuzzi was a perfect way to relax after a day of surfing. I loved my stay and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend!

The location was amazing. Very peaceful and tranquil. The cabin was stylish and the bed was super comfortable. We loved that we could bring our dog.
A lovely little town with surf hiring gear & clothing shops.
A lovely little town with surf hiring gear & clothing shops. There are nice boutiques & a couple of galleries selling locally made work.
There’s a good selection of restaurants & coffee shops plus two shops for groceries if you’re self catering.
The beaches are easy to reach & very spacious & well known for surfing 🏄🏻♀️
All the local people we met were friendly, interesting & kind.

I want to start by saying I got COVID there.
I want to start by saying I got COVID there. I’m sure I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn’t. Had to stay extra time.
The place is lovely, the people are overall really polite, and some people are still against masks and will make completely unnecessary, unrequested, unwanted commentary about it.
Really good food. Really gorgeous beaches. Perfect place to just walk around and discover things.
Got on Raglan Sunset Cruise (the Wahinemoe) and it was awesome. Informative, gorgeous, and offered the option of Raglan Fish which I’m told has declined in quality, but seemed edible enough.
It was a good place to rest. Raglan Roast is delicious. The Stoned Cow has a really nice Banana Bread. Orca bar & restaurant gave me the best meal of my life.
I was pleased with it.

We stayed central and was able to enjoy all the great coffee (Raglan Roast, Indy) and food. Raglan Roads and Indy offered fantastic coffee and service. For food we visited the Raglan Bakery for breakfast and lunch and it is the best bakery I've come across on my travels in New Zealand - highly recommended with well priced food. WE also had lunch at Indy and the The Mexican Place. ULO's Kitchen was our go for dinner place -great food and atmosphere - we were there two nights in a roll.
There was yoga at the Space - very enjoyable.
We went kayaking with Raglan Kayak and Paddleboarding - that was the highlight of our trip. The weather was not great but they put as at ease and accommodated our request. We had winds and some rain which just added to the great adventure.

We only spent one Saturday morning in Raglan but we loved what we saw. We had a delicious breakfast at "The shack" a cafe recommended by staff at our motel. Everywhere eating establishment we saw looked inviting. After breakfast we ventured around the shops. There are lots of interesting art and craft shops to explore. Sadly we only saw glimpses of the beach as we were on a tight schedule. We are now planning a much longer stay.

Raglan is a lovely little town, the Sunset Motel is within walking distance of the town centre with a number of Cafes and restaurants. There is also a small supermarket next door with a good range of grocery items.
Unfortunately it was cold and wet when we there so we didn't get to experience any water activities.
Really recommend it as a holiday destination for a few days.
This location is ideal for swimmers and surfers. There are some beautiful beaches and lovely walks around. The accommodation is quite basic and needing a bit of attention but nothing serious. It is possible to make a basic meal with microwave and toaster. Crockery, fridge and utensils are provided. The linen was spotlessly clean and new towels always available. Raglan is a beautiful, rather bohemian town with lots of individual shops. All in all I think you get value for money.
Location is prime, easy to walk to the small downtown in Raglan. There's a grocery store next door as well for snacks and things. Overall, I stayed in one of the suites and it was great - the bathroom had a separate tub and shower, both were very clean and nice. The patio outside the suite was also lovely, as was having a reserved parking spot.
Perfect for our friends trip to Raglan - location is great, 10mins walk to the main high street but with other bits to see nearby (amazing sunrise from the bay the garden overlooks!)
Everything you need is available in the cottage, plus plenty of space for parking
Highly recommend staying here!
They were awesome super hosts Nora and Mark are very welcoming . Upon asking to use the Kayak Nora had excellent communication ,she even helped us walk them to the boat ramp which was only a 3min walk , beautiful modern stay so cosy and comfortable 🙂 we enjoyed everything about our stay in raglan.
it is the old hotel in the centre of Raglan so is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Had old world charm and was nicely decorated for the period. There is a a guest lounge which leads onto the second storey verandah which was a nice place to watch the world go by.
The location is just fantastic - you are right in the heart of Raglan - close to the restaurants, coffee shops, vibe etc. The villa is lovely and quirky, with pretty well equipped kitchen, bonus dishwasher! The restaurant recommendations were good.
Great location.
The property was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the property had everything you needed for a stay in Raglan. Communication from the host was very clear and informative.
Would definitely stay at this property again.
The room is sparkling clean with tip top conditions and amenities! Thank you host for the warm hospitality, it feels so much like home. Thank you Steve and Claudia for being so attentive to all my queries at all time. Much appreciated.
Situated out of Raglan. The cottage had a great feel to it and had all that you needed for a relaxing time away. Views were amazing overlooking Raglan. Bed was really comfy. Kitchen was quite well equipped.
Location is fantastic, right next to the water and very close to restaurants, bars, cafes etc. The cottage is charming with plenty of space and a beautiful terrace with views of the water.
Quiet rural location a short drive from Raglan. Communication from property manager was excellent, property was clean and nicely appointed with thoughtful touches.
A beautiful rainforest retreat, the views were amazing of the town of Raglan and surrounding countryside. Beautiful place to be in the moments l spent there.
Perfect location in the center of Raglan town: Very close to beach, shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. Next door to the Four Square. Easy to check in.
