A lovely little town with surf hiring gear & clothing shops.
A lovely little town with surf hiring gear & clothing shops. There are nice boutiques & a couple of galleries selling locally made work.
There’s a good selection of restaurants & coffee shops plus two shops for groceries if you’re self catering.
The beaches are easy to reach & very spacious & well known for surfing 🏄🏻♀️
All the local people we met were friendly, interesting & kind.

I want to start by saying I got COVID there.
I want to start by saying I got COVID there. I’m sure I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn’t. Had to stay extra time.
The place is lovely, the people are overall really polite, and some people are still against masks and will make completely unnecessary, unrequested, unwanted commentary about it.
Really good food. Really gorgeous beaches. Perfect place to just walk around and discover things.
Got on Raglan Sunset Cruise (the Wahinemoe) and it was awesome. Informative, gorgeous, and offered the option of Raglan Fish which I’m told has declined in quality, but seemed edible enough.
It was a good place to rest. Raglan Roast is delicious. The Stoned Cow has a really nice Banana Bread. Orca bar & restaurant gave me the best meal of my life.
I was pleased with it.

We stayed central and was able to enjoy all the great coffee (Raglan Roast, Indy) and food. Raglan Roads and Indy offered fantastic coffee and service. For food we visited the Raglan Bakery for breakfast and lunch and it is the best bakery I've come across on my travels in New Zealand - highly recommended with well priced food. WE also had lunch at Indy and the The Mexican Place. ULO's Kitchen was our go for dinner place -great food and atmosphere - we were there two nights in a roll.
There was yoga at the Space - very enjoyable.
We went kayaking with Raglan Kayak and Paddleboarding - that was the highlight of our trip. The weather was not great but they put as at ease and accommodated our request. We had winds and some rain which just added to the great adventure.

We only spent one Saturday morning in Raglan but we loved what we saw. We had a delicious breakfast at "The shack" a cafe recommended by staff at our motel. Everywhere eating establishment we saw looked inviting. After breakfast we ventured around the shops. There are lots of interesting art and craft shops to explore. Sadly we only saw glimpses of the beach as we were on a tight schedule. We are now planning a much longer stay.

Raglan is a lovely little town, the Sunset Motel is within walking distance of the town centre with a number of Cafes and restaurants. There is also a small supermarket next door with a good range of grocery items.
Unfortunately it was cold and wet when we there so we didn't get to experience any water activities.
Really recommend it as a holiday destination for a few days.
Incredible property, located in a quiet and relaxing area with incredible views from the decking. The owners are just below and very lovely, providing a list of tide times in the property so you can time when to drive your car across. Although it’s not an issue if the tide is high, you can leave your car at the bottom of Lorenzen Bay Road and walk across easily enough. We also walked along the coast to Raglan Fish at low tide which was great. Would absolutely recommend and would return. One of our favorite destinations to date!
Location was perfect for scenery . Bed was extremely comfortable. Fresh bread, butter, honey, jam and fresh fruit and chocolates were superb. The decor of the whole interior was magnificent reflecting Frida's artistic influence on owners Robbyn and Peter. Truly, a property not to be missed by any couple who want a quiet but very interesting rural stay just about 4 kms out of Raglan. Do not miss the opportunity.
Warm and friendly reception from the owner, on our arrival. My grandchildren were so excited and straight away felt at home. Vibe of the place was cosy, relaxing and comfortable. Very private and quiet. Location perfect for all activities. Walking distance to shops. Will definitely be staying there again. Would recommend it anytime to anyone wanting to experience Raglan nothing at all
Beautiful new town house with amazing outlook over the Raglan waterways. Accommodation had everything we needed for the perfect little getaway. Short drive to Raglan town or the surf beaches of Manu or Whale Bay. Easily walkable distance to town if you have a reasonable level of fitness.
The property was much more spacious than I expected. It was very clean and comfortable. A short walk into town. A little bit of noise from upstairs tenants but we were made aware of this when booking and it wasn't bothersome. A good stay.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, lovely guests, spacious common room, well equipped kitchen, very relaxing and peacful atmosphere, closest hostel to surf beach, great sauna, yoga lessons and more!
Very clean and well-presented accommodation, house had everything you needed. Quiet location looking out to the Waikato River in the distance. Would stay here again next time I'm in Raglan.
Super central and walkable to everything. The room and bathroom, although dated, was immaculately clean. Large spacious rooms with balcony. Lovely staff. Great parking close to the rooms.
Great location, in close proximity to whatever you want to do or see in Raglan. Charming historic building that is well-maintained. Friendly and helpful staff.
