Friendly and accomodating staff. Our room was pretty warm when we arrived and was clean and tidy. There is parking right outside our unit. Location is very close to the beach with a lot of access and it is also close to the start of the cathedral cove track but apparently the track is still close.

The location couldn't have been much better, just a short walk across a green space to the small town of Hahei. Mike and Andrea were terrific hosts and gave us good advice on things to do and places to eat. They also provided a shovel for nearby Hot Water Beach.

The location was great and easy to find. We only stayed one night, which was a shame as we'd have loved to stay longer. The kitchen was well equipped, and things like clingfilm and foil were available. We cooked and used the dishwasher, so again, it was great to have all that available. Loved the outside shower, although we didn't use it.
They provide kids buckets and spades for hotwater beach. The beds were comfortable too.
They also provided a great little selection of books for kids and a couple of games.

Wonderful, clean, tasteful place to stay! We loved our time here! Very short walk to the beach and town eateries/shops. Erin was lovely and gave helpful information about things to do. A real bonus was her darling dog Cleo. Would highly recommend staying here!

We arrived after Cyclone Lola so it was wet and sea was churned up with a big swell. The sun came out and we enjoyed our evening walk on the beach which is beautiful. The morning we got up at 5.30 am and drove to the foot of Te Pare and walked up to the point for sunrise photos. We did the Hahei explorer boat trip which was a great way to see the coastline which is currently shut to walkers. Later we drove to Hot Water Beach which was great fun leaping the huge waves! The tide and swell was too high to dig spa pools but we felt the hot water with our toes! We had dinner both nights in The Pour House which served amazing food.

Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts.
Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts. They helped us with great advice regarding road closures we encountered on the way. Thanks to Phil, we found an alternate route and missed the closure completely.
Once we arrived we felt so welcome and Phil gave us a ride up to the start of the Cathedral Cove walk.
I highly recommend staying here.

We would have liked to give the accommodation Cathedral Cove Appartment a 9.7 score as we thought it was much better than a 9.0 which is what it caame up as We rated all the amenities as the best we could and thought that the score would come up as more than 9
Fabulous place. Quiet and very clean. Large kitchen area and second room with large sitting area and very comfortable bed! Big sliding doors with a lovely deck and table. Perfect area. The hosts were wonderful. Friendly and helpful with suggestions of things to do. Assisted us with booking a boat excursion to see the sea caves. It was walkable to Hahei beach and a cute area with a couple place to eat, excursions, and a few shops. A lovely beach town. The hot water beach was an easy drive.
Very quiet neighbourhood. Starry night.
Cleverly-designed layout. Very clean and almost new room, with view to Hahei Beach.
It's just a 2-minutes walk to the lookout platform of the Cethedral Cove, so we were lucky enough to visit there 3 times and see it at different times of the day: before checking in at low tides, after dinner, and after breakfast the next day.
The location was out of this world - possibly the best view in Hahei !
House was a lovely, modern, homely beach house with everything a family requires.
We cooked up a storm in the kitchen, lazed on the deck and the hot tub, and just gazed out the windows at THAT view.
Mike was a fantastic host and answered any queries we had promptly.
Everything was great. Our hosts were very nice. There were beach towels and spades for the hot water beach available, and there were a couple of margaritas waiting for us upon arrival. The room was great and bed was super comfortable. I can’t recommend enough. Would definitely stay there again if we return to Hahei. Thank you!
Excellent stay, the location was within walking distance of Hahei Beach where you will find local sightseeing operators and local stores. It provided an excellent base to see all the surrounding tourist hotspots. I will book with Erin on my next trip to New Zealand to just relax before flying out. It was my Zen place.
Great location to explore Hahei and Hot Water Beach, only a 5min walk from the beach.
Lovely accomodation for self-catering, with the option to add breakfast and have a meal in the bistro on site, free parking available on site. Have used this accomodation before and can recommend it. Very friendly staff.
Very clean, super comfy beds - close to everything. Pour House pub was great and so close along with ice cream shops and a general store. Beach was a block away and amazing. HOt Water beach just a few minutes away. Hosts were lovely.
Great garden view from private deck from unit. BBQ available for our own use.
Loved the natural bush and bird song.
A short walk to the amazing beach.
Had a super fun coastline and cave boat ride with Hahei explorer boat Co.
The view cannot be beat. It was so gorgeous staring out at the ocean and islands all day. The home was very clean and very comfortable. We loved the decor; made it feel very homey. Loved the walkway down to the beach.
fabulous spot right on hahei beach. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. we stayed in a sea view villa which was amazing. really well equipped kitchen awesome views and so comfy. would definitely recommend.
The hostel and staff were amazing. There were towels and shovels available for the hot water beach, and the heaters in each room were a great touch. Overall a very friendly, comfortable place to stay!
The quietness and that I was the only guest in that wing so didn't need to share the bathroom. I own property in Hahei on Grange Road so this was very convenient as a place to sleep.
Phil and sue are the consummate hosts. The property is impeccably clean. Cookies and sweets upon our arrival. The American breakfast puts most restaurants and hotels to shame.
