The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was pretty spacious. The water pressure and quality was also remarkable, this can make filling a bath quick and a shower feel like a massage. Tap water also tasted good. Dining at the hotel is convenient with a view of the fjord, the food is well prepared and all things considered the prices are reasonable. Breakfast was pretty good too. The hotel is very centrally located. So it is a good place from which to undertake any activity in Geiranger.

As the end of the Geiranger Fjord, the village is constantly under a constant flow of tourists coming with the huge cruise ships.
The village per se has nothing else special versus other Norwegian villages on any other fjord, but this constant movement of people from the ships gives it the opportunity to be super busy and even more expensive than the normal expensive Norway.

It is probably one of the nicest areas of Norway, and the Geiranger Fjords should be visited by everyone when in Norway.
Despite the distances involved, visitors should get out and about, driving cars there requires some skill and attention, but the roads are well maintained. (Watch out for hikers and bikers!).
A day trip to Alesund is also recommended!

Geiranger is one of the most attractive destinations in the world , the nature itself is a reward and what i suggest is that the concerned authorities can add more services here and there to meet the needs and the expectations of all tourists from all over the world , like more supermarkets , more shopping options etc

Nice little village but very touristy when cruise liners are in. Limited choice of restaurants. Lots of tourist goods shops, boat trips available along with kayaking etc. A nice place to chill for a couple of days.

The cabin was well equipped with microwave, oven and kettle.
The cabin was well equipped with microwave, oven and kettle. The place is clean and the bathroom was very spacious. The space was just nice, compact but not too small. There was also laundry in the bathroom and dryer close by. This was a real plus as I was travelling around Norway for over 25 days.
The location was 5 mins from town and the road to and from town was very easy. Great location with beach view

So many natural beauty places to see around here, and hikes to do. I would recommend hiring a boat for fjord exploration at your own pace. Taking a short drive to the Dalsnibba viewpoint is a must, as well as to any of the other close-by viewpoints. Walk the steps next to the powerful display of water flowing into the fjord. Take a canoe/kayak and see the many waterfalls from up close.
This room had the best view of any place we stayed in Norway! It has a balcony directly overlooking the Geiranger Fjord. It is hard to leave the balcony to explore the area. The town is very small but fun to explore. A must do is the walk up the waterfall that is next to the caravan park, beautiful. Wonderful breakfast included. This is the only big hotel in this small town and it is pricy, but the view and breakfast are worth the money.
Westerns Gard is a special place. The stay was a highlight of our trip to Norway! The location is beautiful and is the start of some great hiking trails. The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. My wife loved the animals, especially the goats! The restaurant food was excellent. Even the one lane road to the cabins added to the adventure! We highly recommend Westeras Gard!!
Very good value for money. We booked the one cottage apartment and the view was awesome, I dare say the best out of Geiranger (even better than the hotels around there). It was super comfortable, especially since the bedroom was completely separate from the kitchen and living area. It included everything we needed. They were also very responsive and helpful when I asked to do a late check in. 10/10 definitely recommend this.
The owner is extremely friendly and cares for making your stay truly exceptional.
We excepted a great apartment but got more than surprised by it. The view is amazing, it is equipped with everything you need. It feels cozy like a traditional norwegian cabin, but has modern parts where needed.
If you stay for some days in Geiranger, you have to book this place!
The stay was perfect! I wish I booked for a longer stay because the cabin was cozy, clean, and had the best view in Norway. Lots of hot water and the beds were just right. The heated floor in the bathroom were luxurious. The chairs on the patio were really nice to have. The staff was friendly and helped answer questions about hikes in the area.
We had such a great time at the hotel even if we were only for one night. The view from our room was insane. The breackfast had a wide variety of products. The buffet dinner maybe it was a little bit expensive than I thought but they have good food. The staff from the restaurant and housekeeper were really nice with us.
The location was amazing and also the check-in and out was very smooth. The cabin is very spacious and offers a unique view over the Geirangerfjord and the city of Geiranger. A huge benefit was the additional boat rental which I can only recommend as it gives you a great chance to explore Geiranger fjord from the water.
Best part was the view over Geiranger & fjord. Unfortunately, we had rain and fog for our one night stay but it was still lovely. Very small, clean room but ok for one night. Very good breakfast even though closing for the season in one week. Lounge area was nice for a drink and view.
the view from our cabin was breathtaking. a beautiful setting and a very spacious cabin. by far the best accommodation throughout our trip in Norway. would recommend for anybody and everybody looking for something unique and special!
It was the best accommodation that we had so far in Norway. Everything was absolutely perfect. Really nice, modern, clean hut with kitchen, bathroom, cool view, etc. Helpful staff, really great experience, few minutes from Geiranger
Perfect location.. with unobstructed view of the fjord. Not walkable distance to the center of Geiranger so better keep in mind the closing times of the restaurants or supermarket.
We loved our stay, very cosy & insulated hut
I always wanted to stay in Geiranger, and this time, it worked. The camping ground lies on a steep mountainside. The view should be great if it wouldn't rain the whole time. The kitchen is really well equipped.
Beautiful location. Friendly and attentive staff. A really memorable meal at the restaurant in the evening. The hotel also runs a complimentary shuttle into the centre of Geiranger which was appreciated.
location is the best in Geiranger, right on the fjord. staff are incredible. facilities are beyond nice, spa, workout room. be sure to eat in the terrace room, it’s very special.
Very good location overlooking Geirangerfjord
Good breakfast and excellent meal in the restaurant
Free parking near to the hotel
Comfortable bed
Our room had a bath!!
We got the cabin no 1. The view from there was breathtaking to Geiranger town and fjord. Cca. 30m(!) from the cabin there is a really big and fantastic waterfall.
