Geirangerfjorden Feriesenter offers high standard cabins, a campsite and motor boats for hire. All our cabins have one or two bed rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a living room. Bedlinen, towels and the end cleaning are included in the price. All cabins have free WiFi and except of the «One Bedroom Cabins», they also have a TV. There is a furnished veranda in front of the cabins. We have a playground on site, as well as a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer. You can park for free next to your cabin. We also have EV chargers (16 A) next to the reception at an additional cost. Our «Premium Cabins» have free EV charging (10A) next to the cabin.
Geirangerfjorden Feriesenter is located at Grande in Geiranger. Grande was a farm in the early days and it was first mentioned in 1603. The ancestors of the current owner took over the farm in 1768. Since then the farm was handed over from one generation to the next with farming, animals and fruit sales as the main source of income for the family. It was the 7th generation on the farm that started in 1946 with tourism, and rented out some of the rooms in the farm house. In the 70s and 80s the next generation took the tourism initiative one step further and built a campsite and cabins. The farming was stopped in 1978. In 1999 the current owners Finn Magne and Borghild Grande took over the property and founded Geirangerfjorden Feriesenter. Boat rental was added as an activity for the guests. Today we operate our Feriesenter together with the whole family. We all love to be on the fjord and enjoy the fantastic nature we live in.
We are quietly located next to the Geirangerfjord, only 2 km from Geiranger. Many guests love the fact, that you avoid the main stream of tourists from the centre of Geiranger, especially during high season. It is the perfect place if you want to spend time enjoying the breathtaking nature, but it is also a nice place if you love being active. The famous waterfalls The Seven Sisters, The Bridal Veil and The Suiter are only a 15 minutes boat ride away from our Feriesenter. Motor boats can be rented in the reception, as well as fishing equipment. You can rent kayaks in the nearest neighborhood or take a trip with the sightseeing boat from the centre. We can give you recommendations about the most beautiful walks in the area around Geiranger, if you rather like to explore the fjord by foot. We can especially recommend the hike to the Storseterfossen waterfall, where it is possible to walk behind the waterfall. We will also recommend the trip to Skageflå and the view from Flydalsjuvet, Ørnesvingen and Dalsnibba. After a long day of exploring we recommend you to visit Restaurant Hyskje at Grande Fjord Hotel, which is located only 50 meters away. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
