When we arrived at the "Grande Hytteutleige og Camping", the receptionist welcomed us with an opening sentence "Welcome to Paradise". I just wanted to tell that this sentence is correct, no overestimate/delusional or anything. Our family of four, have stayed in cabin no. 9 for 3 nights. We all thought the same as this camping is indeed a "paradise on Earth". The cabin was really good, clean, and have all facilities we needed. If you have car, there's no worry cause the parking area is just in front of the cabin, very comfortable and free. Also it was a perfect place to have dinner on balcony and watch the breathtaking view of the fjord. Most importantly, this place has one of the best wifi as we have stayed in several places in Norway so no worry if you want to do a live or post photo/videos to your family/friends online in order to witnessing this heaven together. All in all, if we visit Geiranger next time, we will absolutely book this room again.
For anyone who hesitates on where to stay at Geiranger, we would highly recommend this place. And you will not be dissapointed!
Ps. the staff was really helpful and active. He's willing to answer all of our question/curiosities to the fullest. I don't know his name but he was a man from Swedish so I wanted to shout out to him. He's literally a good spokesperson for this camping, he just made us have a good first impression with this place.

As the end of the Geiranger Fjord, the village is constantly under a constant flow of tourists coming with the huge cruise ships.
The village per se has nothing else special versus other Norwegian villages on any other fjord, but this constant movement of people from the ships gives it the opportunity to be super busy and even more expensive than the normal expensive Norway.

It is probably one of the nicest areas of Norway, and the Geiranger Fjords should be visited by everyone when in Norway.
Despite the distances involved, visitors should get out and about, driving cars there requires some skill and attention, but the roads are well maintained. (Watch out for hikers and bikers!).
A day trip to Alesund is also recommended!

Geiranger is one of the most attractive destinations in the world , the nature itself is a reward and what i suggest is that the concerned authorities can add more services here and there to meet the needs and the expectations of all tourists from all over the world , like more supermarkets , more shopping options etc

Nice little village but very touristy when cruise liners are in. Limited choice of restaurants. Lots of tourist goods shops, boat trips available along with kayaking etc. A nice place to chill for a couple of days.

The cabin was well equipped with microwave, oven and kettle. The place is clean and the bathroom was very spacious. The space was just nice, compact but not too small. There was also laundry in the bathroom and dryer close by. This was a real plus as I was travelling around Norway for over 25 days.
The location was 5 mins from town and the road to and from town was very easy. Great location with beach view

So many natural beauty places to see around here, and hikes to do. I would recommend hiring a boat for fjord exploration at your own pace. Taking a short drive to the Dalsnibba viewpoint is a must, as well as to any of the other close-by viewpoints. Walk the steps next to the powerful display of water flowing into the fjord. Take a canoe/kayak and see the many waterfalls from up close.
Amazing view of Geiranger fjord. We hired a motorboat at reception for 2 hours which was perfect to tour the fjord. The staff on site were amazing. This was the best customer service we had in Norway. September was a great month to visit. It rained one day which made the waterfalls more impressive. The next morning, we woke up to blue sky and snow on the top of the mountains. The cabin was absolutely spotless and the bathroom beautiful, equipped with a rain shower.
the view from the front porch was spectacular. I don’t you can find a better one in Geiranger. I found the cabin very clean and equipped with common use items. the shower was large by European standards with lots of hot water. Geiranger is a small village with limited places to eat so I enjoyed making my own breakfasts and dinners (packed lunches for hikes). the places had a lot of character to them and they were situated for privacy
The property is located just 300-400 meters below the Flydalsjuvet view-point.
The view of the Geiranger-fjord from this property is better than the Flydalsjuvet view-point
This property is newly built so the inside facilities are clean and feel like new.
For Hytter, the bathroom is also relatively spacious and conveniently organized.
In addition, the living room and kitchen are well equipped without being cramped.
We had a wonderful weekend in Westeras Gard! With a view overlooking. We stayed in a small wooden house for two people. It was warm and cozy at night. Hospitable and polite staff is always helpful. They fed us a hot dinner just before closing time. Also Westeras Gard has one of the best restaurants in Geiranger, where we eat. Delicious farm food. Highly recommend this place and thank you for your state and care.
The view from the cabin i stayed in was so beautiful! The place was quiet and scenic. The location wasn't too far from all the 'main' tourist attractions at geiranger. The cabin itself was fully stocked with all the kitchen appliances, spare pillows were available a good size living room/kitchen. Would happily stay there again.
What a wonderful experience it was! The home is lovely, well situated. Ian and his wife were very generous and gracious hosts. Our room was clean and very comfotable. What a view!
Ian is a true ambassador of Norway! It was a pleasure talking to him. It was a very delitful evening. Ian made our trip more personal and genuine.
Super hotel. During my entire trip to Norway, this hotel had the best service. The hotel is located close to a wonderful fjord. The hotel has a wonderful spa and outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the fjord. My family and I had a great evening at the bar yesterday. Breakfast is incredible.
Grande Fjord Hotel is located 2 km outside Geiranger but right by the Fjord offering great views of Geirangerfjord. Exploring Geirangerfjord by kayak (there is a kayak rental shop right by the hotel) is a great option. The views from the room and from the restaurant were stunning.
LOVED the view from the cottage; LOVED the location on the shore of the fjord; LOVED that they had a simple motor boat , SUP to rent affordability. Our private evening boat ride up the fjord was so peaceful and beautiful.. one of our favorite adventures of our NORWAY adventure.
The view from our room of the fjord was spectacular! I really enjoyed the little deck on our floor to sit and enjoy the magnificent scenery. The restaurant offered a wonderful menu and the food was so so good!
The staff was warm and very helpful. I would stay here again.
The hotel is located in the amazing and famous Geirangerfjord.
From the hotel, you do have plenty choices for activities (hike, Kayaking, Road trip to National Parl, Trollstinger).
The receptionist was amazing and organized us a diner after the last order.
Cosy feeling, smart and cheerful staff, wonderful view from the window. Just up Geiranger fjord you will be immersed in a majestic mountain scenery.
Comfortable rooms.
At the time of our visit the hotel didn't serve dinner, only a simple, good breakfast.
adorable moss roofed hut in an epic surrounding landscape. perfect place to stay on trip to Geiranger- very close to fjord but escape the cruise ship bustle! one of our favorite places we stayed on our Norway road trip- would recommend to anyone.
It was the best accommodation that we had so far in Norway. Everything was absolutely perfect. Really nice, modern, clean hut with kitchen, bathroom, cool view, etc. Helpful staff, really great experience, few minutes from Geiranger
The views from this hotel are spectacular if you have a fjord side room or while eating in dining room. The hotel has changed hands since we stayed there last. Seems to have deteriorated the overall experience at the hotel.
The view was great! Buffet dinner was excellent both nights we stayed. Breakfast was typical, nothing special. Just a really nice hotel with an incomparable view. Bonus was the heated pool that was open until 10 pm
Beautiful view. Great little space to stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Great if you have a car. Is not in the Geiranger city center, which was a GOOD THING as it gets crowded with tourists. Would highly recommend!
I cant write 11 points, because booking only have 10. One word.: wonderfull. Everything was more than perfect. If you are looking for place to stay in Geiranger, dont miss the ability to try this hotel. Superior.
View to the fjord couldn't be any better ... the Hotel's name "Utsikten" keeps its promises; ask for room with fjord view. Own (limited) number of parking places. Nice breakfast buffet.
