Absolutely cute cabin right next to the playground, very cozy and perfect for a few nights camping experience with small children. The staff was very nice. It is worth staying a couple of nights longer. There are lots of things to see and do close by (Natursenter Hardanger, Vøringsvossen, Eidfjord, nice walks...).
Beds were comfy, and they even had a baby bed.

The view of the fjord was terrific and the rooms were conveniently located on the ground floor. Easy and short walk to the town of Eidfjord. Nearby nature center was great, and we loved our dinner at Vik’s cafe- a wonderful restaurant.

Eidfjord is a very practical location since from there is access to many activities and visits that I would recommend such as Vøringsfossen, Kjeåsen, Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger and a lot of sensational excursions. Apart from that you have Hardangerfjord, the Ulvik/Voss area, Hardangervidda just a few kilometers away by car.
And the town is small, quiet and charming.

Eidfjors is an idyllic place with many things to do or enjoy. As main attractions you have the waterfall of Vøringsfossen, the norwegian nature center museum and the farms and views of Kjeåsen. Apart from that, other spectacular waterfalls and fantastic hikes. It is also a good place to relax and do nothing.

There is some great hiking in the area.
There is some great hiking in the area. We took the trail to the foot of Voringsfossen waterfall, which gave a different perspective from the viewpoints along the road. The hike to Kjeasen mountain farm is a lot of fun, with a few scrambles on the way up. This is quite steep and slippy in places so best done on a dry day. The views from the top are stunning.
We also did a day trip to Bergen from Eidfjord, if you have a car it is doable to go there and back in a day.
Eidfjord itself is very small and easy to get around. We mainly ate in our hotel (Eidfjord Fjell and Fjord Hotel) which was very nice to go for dinner.
Beautiful, peaceful place right in the middle of mountains. Calming lake, waterfalls. Cabins are perfectly located. Location itself is great, plenty of activities nearby. Close to Eidfjord where you can make groceries, book cruises or borrow bicycles. Owner is really friendly and helpful. In the cabin we found everything we needed. Bathroom has floor heating. Can recommend without doubts.
We came back in Eidfjord just to stay in this amazing place. A cozy, warm, picturesque home next to the Fjords, run by the friendliest couple. They always hear their customers/ that they treat as friends and improve their facilities. They always welcome us with big smiles, suggestions, lots of quality toys, flowers and chocolates. Always a pleasure staying here. Amazing experience
The hotel is right next to the super impressive Voringfoss. The eternal sound of the waterfall, is the only sound you will hear when you go to sleep.
The room and the entire hotel was super clean and for me the most exciting was that when I first stepped into the hotel it was like I entered into a time capsule and returned 50 years ago.
One of my best stays! Highly recommended!!!
Location is lovely unless there is a huge cruise ship in the harbour just opposite the hotel building that totally blocks the view. It was like that when we arrived but fortunately it was gone in the evening. I suppose that it happens quite often as it is a popular spot for the cruises. From the breakfast room you get a nice view of the fjord. We enjoyed that.
Friendly, helpful staff – felt more like a family than a hotel. Nice breakfast with freshly cooked omelettes. Comfortable, spacious, modern hotel room. Only 9 rooms on the property; all on the ground floor. Comfortable lounge area with free tea. The owners run an adventure travel company (kayaking, biking, etc.) as well.
Great location opposite the edge of the fjord. A few mins drive from the harbour and centre of Eidfjord. Quaint property with nice eclectic decor - stuffed animals in the terrace area. Only food available was pancakes - advertised as 20 options, but only half a dozen on menu. Breakfast was ok but basic.
The Fossli Hotel is a gem!! The main rooms of this historic hotel are like going back in time. It was so charming to be there! The guest rooms are spacious, and very comfortable. The food is excellent. The views from the hotel look out over the most amazing fjiord.
Eidfjord Hotel is in a great location and we had lovely fjiord views from our room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower good and hot. There was complimentary tea/coffee/juice in the breakfast room all day. The breakfast was very good with loads of choice.⁹
This hotel was great value in this small town. The hotel restaurant was surprisingly nice and the food was delicious. They offered us a late check-in, which was super helpful. Parking was ample and there was one low-power charger available.
This hotel was priced lower (about $75 US dollars less than another hotel) and the service, the view and the cleanliness were great! When we drove up, it looked less impressive than some of the other places, but once inside, it was great.
The Fossli gave us a different experience from the other hotels where we stayed. It was a bit more remote than we expected, but if all we wanted was a place with a view, we were definitely NOT disappointed.
Great location, very close to the Hardangerfjord and the Voringfossen waterfall. The facilities were very clean and the room was very cozy, and the staff was attentive too. Nice breakfast to start the day.
The beautiful dining space, charming hotel lounge, cozy room, and very friendly staff made for an excellent stay in Eidfjord. The dinner we had onsite was delicious! Would highly recommend!
Everything was really great, especially Gina our host is friendly and warm in her heart.
Everytime we will come to Eidfjord we will stay there if its possible.
