Vasiliki and his lovely mother were the best hosts we could ask for!

The location was ideal for getting on the lake and had a lovely view. The interior has been done really well and tastefully. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a private boat trip with Zoran (the host) which was amazing and would recommend. We went at 8am and saw lots of birds.

I had a wonderful experience at guest house Luna. The apartment is lovely and so is everybody working there! It is a bit tricky to find on your own, so I would recommend going to the Luna Store just outside the train station. They helped me out a lot with activities around Virpazar and gave me plenty of tips for other destinations in Montenegro too. The house was very clean when I arrived, the beds very comfortable and the wifi worked well all the time.

The most favourite spot was the acommodation itself, his hospitality and the lake itself. I ate in a reastaurant, in the house and on the beech.
Everywhere was perfect and delicious.
It is easy to get to Virpazar, both from Sutomore and Podgorica.
There is nothing to avoid, everything was great.

I thought the lake was over-rated.
I thought the lake was over-rated.
We enjoyed a morning kayaking (about 9km) and saw some water birds but I have had much better kayaking experiences elsewhere in pristine environments.
In places the water was smelly, I certainly wouldn't swim in it. There was also rubbish floating in various places. Nice from a distance - climb the short track to the monastary and take in a more distant view.
The township didn't seem particularly special - a base for boat and kayak trips wand a few restaurants.

An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking.
An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking. A great place to relax for a few days. Lovely lanes and villages to walk looking for tortoises, snakes and lizards. A couple of nice, medium walks off the lanes.
The people are very friendly and can speak pretty good English and like a bit of banter.
Also has some nice relaxed bars and restaurants, no hard sell.

Virpazar is a very small village - a supermarket, a restaurant by the river and one more close to supermarket. The reason to go there is to sail on the lake - must be gordious in the summer - we were there in beginning of april - a bit chilly and not a lot of birds. But we took a boat trip and visited an old church and said hello to the munks from a nearby convent.

The main attraction is lake skadar, and it’s even more beautiful than pictures I’ve seen on the internet. I’ve never seen so much natural beauty before! You have to book a boat tour in order to truly experience the lake in all its glory.

Very small town, bridge is the main attraction and you constantly get hustled into boat trips round the lake. One of the local restaurants wouldn't let us use the toiled under the pretence of no water, but it is OK for them to use it and serve the food. We have been told they do it often so their toilets wouldn't get dirty. Anyway we left for another restaurant Rostiljada outside of the Virpazar and we were not disappointed.
The hosts were exceptionally kind and wellcoming. At our arrival they invited us to have a drink of their homemade grappa with them and left some homemade wine and grappa for us to try in the fridge. In the morning their son took us on 2 hr trip on the lake where we saw both kormorans and pelikans. Upon our return to Jocker we had amazing breakfast with coffee and dessert. Never during our travels have we experienced such hospitality! Absolutely recommend this place if you ever wish to visit the Skadar Lake.
Great communication before checking in, easy to enter the property even when reception was closed. The room was immaculate! Beautiful new apartment with modern fittings, new paint and furniture. Property is very secure, room features as described. Rooms without balconies are absolutely massive, rooms with balconies are smaller but the balcony overlooks a River which is lovely. Virpazar is a good location to base yourself for boat tours, and other day trips in the mountain regions. Very good value for money.
The lodge was in an excellent location for a peaceful break away for our first time in Momtenegro. It's just a short walking distance from the town Virpazar where we enjoyed kayaking and a boat tour of the lake. We hired a car to visit some of the seaside towns, and other areas that are just a short drive away. We we're so greatful to be able to return back to this peacful location on an evening. The lodge had everything we needed for our stay and we loved the cosy feel inside.
I recommend this acommodation either for a couple or the whole family. The mark is perfect 10. The host Ilija Radoman was excellent, friendly, organized a boat ride and the dinner (fish and home made red wine). There is a free car park in front of the facilities. The house is very well located, about 600m from the centre. He even announced us and recommended the restaurant in Virpazar. I can say all the best about the host, hospitality and the house. Milina is a wonderful host. The apartment is above her house and much of the food she serves is from their land. Great breakfast. Dinner was good too. The place is located about 2 km from Virpazar down a quiet lane. Excellent location to enjoy Lake Skadar from. Only about 30 minutes to airport and Bar. The drive around the lake through Albania takes only about three hours if you don’t stop (but who wouldn’t).
Apartment was comfortable and well presented. Everything was clean to a good standard. Host greeted us on arrival and provided info on how to walk into Virpazar town avoiding walking on the main road. We were also lucky enough to get offered a glass of fresh juice which was delicious. Host was also able to offer airport transfer to Podgorica at an additional cost which was convenient for us.
A beautiful location, the room had everything I needed and more. The food was delicious and the family that run it are very very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
It's a 3km (easy) walk to the centre of Virpazar, just to be aware if booking without a car. This wasn't a problem for me and part of what I enjoyed about my stay.
Really lovely little house in the owner's garden. Everything was really cosy and quiet.
We had a really nice montenegrin dinner prepared by the owners and brought in the wood house, everything was delicious.
This was the best night we spent in Montenegro, if you plan to stay in Virpazar, stay there !
our favorite place in Montenegro. The family was extremely accommodating, friendly and make you feel at home right away. make sure to try their house wine and definitely recommend their boat tour around the lake. Thank you Morvan, Luka and Jelica!
Super cute and comfy cabin. A warm welcome from the host (written note on the fence) and the sweet cat who is very hungry. Warm, nice couch, kitchen and beds. Near the harbor of Virpazar where you can do the boat tour on the beautiful Skadar lake.
If you are going to Virpazar this is the place to stay. Danielle and the hosts were fantastic - friendly and very helpful. Walk into town was only 10 minutes and the pool was great to cool down after with a fabulous view of the mountains.
Very nice Apartment in Virpazar, with great view and fantastic host ! We had a very nice wine tasting of their selfmade wine and he arranged a boat trip for us. When staying in Montenegro again, we would definetly come back here again.
Households, milan and Milena are so friendly. The apart is very big and it has a huge balcony. You can take boat tour with Milan. İt is in virpazar. Virpazar is a small Village but you can go there for relaxing and refreshing
Cozy apartment right on the square in Virpazar with convenient self check in and a very kind host. The apartment is small but functional with everything expected inside and it's nice to stay in a building with history.
We stayed for one night and had a great time. Aleksander and his grandparents are very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend staying here while traveling to Virpazar.
Outstanding apt with everything you need and more for a nice and comfortable stay. Easy walk down the hill and across to virpazar. The host is super friendly and helpful highly recommend!
Hotel is located in the center of the village Virpazar. Beds were comfy, air condition was working well, taxi transfer to the airport arranged by the hotel worked fine.
Beautiful newly refurbished studio right in the heart of the town. Short walk to Besac castle and viewpoints as well. It is an excellent choice for visiting Virpazar.
The hostes were really nice and helpfull, the top appartement was very comfartable and Virpazar just has magnificent landscapes (the boat tours are worth it).
Apartment was nice and clean. Very close to virpazar station and small convenience store nearby and 25 mins walk to skadar lake and has a mountain view
