Due to low season we had the place completely to ourselves. Great pool, spacious comfortable room with a big terrace with best seaviews and really tasty food. The staff, especially Nalin made sure that we are completely spoiled!! We will be back for sure, a little piece of paradise!

The place is just a few steps away from the beach. We just jumped in and had a sea bath whenever we wanted. There was AC and Hot water in our room. Didn't expect that. Really worth the money. There was a pool table in the bar and fellow travelers stop by to play pool and vibe. Had a wonderful time and hoping to return again soon.

I liked the size of the city - just right to walk anywhere, plenty of options to buy fresh fruit, fish and good local food. The bus stand was easy to be found. There were always tuk tuk drivers around for when you needed it, but sometimes they were too eager to give you a ride even if you didn't want to. The city always felt safe, even at night.. even for a solo traveling young woman. There was a great food booth near the bus stand selling the best shawarma ever!
There were plenty of beautiful beaches around, but the sea was too stormy. Nearby in Kapuhenwalla is a good turtle conservation project, where you could go see turtles hatch and lay eggs. I am definitely coming back~

Tangalle is really nice but it is far better just 2/3 kilometres up the coast at Marocolyia beach and lagoon.Very peaceful and tranquil.
This where Coconut Island cabanas is.There is also a small lake about 200 meters from the accommodation which is full with wading birds.Flamingos,Sacred and Glossy Ibis etc etc.

On our way to the Yala National Park, we both had an amazing stay at Stuart House Tangalle. Woke up to the songs of birds and very much enjoyed the serenity of the garden view. We had the entire villa to ourselves where the caretaker cooked us what was requested. We also went down to the beach and had a very enjoyable time. The villa was built by the current owner's great grandfather who was a famous citizen in the southern province nearly a 100 years ago and still maintains its beautiful charm.
Amazing service. The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly. We had a few minor issues with our room, they got fixed immediatelly.

There is nothing chaotic and fast about this place, is as serene as possible, spacious, beautiful and comfortable with the attentive staff communicating via WhatsApp giving you the privacy you need. Surroundings are lush green and quiet, view over lagoon perfect. Breakfast plentiful with fruit platter. The best stay we have in Sri Lanka.
We had a good and clean room with good working AC but the very best of all was the small balcony with Jungle view and a cozy sitting area to watch the birds, stars while listen to the waves from the beach near the hotel. We totally enjoyed our stay here. You definitely have your private space without other guests to enjoy your time.
Very nice place in quiet neighbourhood, 2 minutes walk to the beautiful and empty beach (the best beach we saw on the island). Good breakfast. Large and clean room, hot water and small tarrace. Close to the hotel there are some bars and restaurants- in one of them we ate the best food on our trip to Sri Lanka.

This property is amazing, absolutly perfect! The decoration makes it a true paradise in front of the beach. However the staff is the best, the hotel manager took care of us on everything, from the food to the excursions and more. I do see this hotel a must if you go to Sri Lanka, it is way worth it!!!
