I love this place for its beauty and architecture and have been coming here for years (the first time 30 years ago as it was my Sri Lankan father’s favourite) . Was thoroughly disappointed with the service. There was one person taking care of everything there so maintenance was bad. Though rooms were spacious felt that it was not maintained well. The rain water entered the rooms and everytime we had to go search for the person in charge to come n clean. Door knobs were not working curtains were dirty. We paid too much for this place with no facilities.

The beautiful beach and easy access to to it. The food is great with a lot of options, make sure you ask them for the 10% discount for booking.com, otherwise they tend to bill you the full amount. Very eay to get around Bentota, just take a Tuk -Tuk, only 200-300 LKR to get to places around, plenty of great dinner options for seafood, if you like that.

We visited Bava Garden in Benthota and did a boat ride. The people were nice and helpful. The beach was relatively clean and safe to walk around. Bentota has a number of good hotels though a little bit expensive. Galle city is just 45 minutes away.
best accommodation in Sri Lanka so far! absolutely gorgeous garden with clean and fresh pool, rooms were nice, built in European style, so it has a separate shower, which comes in hand. But the owners and staff were absolutely the best. they were really nice and kind the whole stay, we had a lot of fun together. Mrs. Alexandra was lovely, kind and helpful all the time. Mr. Nelson is the best cook in Sri Lanka, we really enjoyed his cuisine. There is no chance finding better accommodation. also the beach is calm and without people.
We had a great stay here, the beach was easy to access. The pool facilities also easy to access. All facilities were clean and neat. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. On arrival the most beautiful lamp lighting ceremony was held with the reception staff, we all felt very special. The arrival on the jetty, you transported on a boat to the hotel reception. This also adds to the excitement of the stay! The rooms were very comfortable, The breakfast selections were vast! Really good overall.
Very nice small hotel in Induruwa with a small green garden attached to the house and direct beach access. The rooms are clean and spacious, although some rooms on the upper floor have a higher noise level at night due to the street and railway directly behind. There are 3 breakfast options (English, Continental, Sri Lankan) and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. There are enough sunbeds for all the guests and the man responsible for towel service is always directly available.
Unfortunately we only stayed in the accommodation for three nights because we were traveling through Sri Lanka by tuk-tuk. The River Breeze Villa is absolute madness. Pradeep and his family are so incredibly nice and accommodating and try to organize everything you need. The bed was the best of our trip so far and there is even a pool that you can use at any time. There is also a great breakfast. If we are in Bentota again, we will definitely come back. Thank you so much!
The hotel is a very impressive property and located on the Bentota beach. We stayed for three nights and had a great experience. On checking in we had some issues with the room air conditioning and were promptly moved to another room. Our room was on the sixth floor with a brilliant view of the Indian Ocean. The breakfast and dinner spread had lot of options and the staff were very helpful. We used the fitness centre and the spa which were great facilities.

The family made me feel so welcome. The room was basic but spotless. It’s in a great location, only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The breakfast was lovely, so much food!! The family offered to make me dinner- it was that good I ended up eating there twice. If you like big hotels with all the comforts then this probably isn’t for you however if you want an authentic experience with true Sri Lankan hospitality then I couldn’t recommend more.
If you're looking for a hotel Sri Lanka for some rest and relaxation, Villa Thamburu is ideal! The location is great offering easy access to a lovely, quiet beach. The staff great too. All were incredibly polite, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile for us.
The food was also a highlight. I can't imagine anywhere else in Bentota could match it. The hotel itself was beautiful too!

The room is very clean and look exactly like the pictures. The pool is also very nice and clean. It is the best place we stayed during our trip to Sri Lanka. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and provides you with everything you need. They even have a lamp for the mosquitoes, so you can enjoy the evenings on your own terrace. We highly recommend this place.

A lovely Guest House for quiet and relaxing stay. Very clean, very comfortable, very stylish. Wonderful breakfast, probably the best in Sri Lanka :) Located near the beach (across the road) where we could use sunbeds free of charge. Guest House provided beach towels as well. Very cozy hotel with a private beach. We felt very welcome. The breakfast and dinner was great. The staff are very accommodating, they tried their best to make our stay amazing. Even the owner was helping us with our enquirers. The rooms are fairly comfortable with a stunning view of the ocean. Everything was just awesome!
The place is just 5 mins from the beach. If you are looking for a budget stay near the beach definitely consider it. The hosts made some local authentic Sri Lankan food for us at breakfast. They even helped us with a bit of local shopping.
This is a beautiful historic property by one of Sri Lanka‘s most famous landscape architects. The beauty of the property is unmatched.  Breakfast was delicious, but one should confirm the order in which you like it presented.
