Fantastic staff at Subaseth villa they were kind enough to help us with everything we needed for a great stay. Big bedrooms comfortable beds and really great food. It's outside town very peaceful and a lovely place to stay.

I have just stayed for a day because I didn’t want to spent...
I have just stayed for a day because I didn’t want to spent around 25 dollars for the ancient cite. But I have walked around and prayed in Siri Maha Bodhi Tree area which is a massive and fascinating place! I have visited some other places such as Isurumuni Royal Temple and even sat down in front of the meditation stone and meditated there for a bit and it’s a very chanting place to be!

The old city and temple complex is huge and takes a long time to walk around. In many parts you are not allowed to wear shoes or hats, so if you don’t want burnt feet, take some socks and wear sunscreen and carry water.

1) No hot water in the shower.

2) A whirring / drilling noise that kept me up all night, perhaps coming from one of the hotel pumps / generators from above. When I enquired about this at reception I was told that “the hotel was full” and my questions as to what it could be were rebuffed with a “goodnight”.
3) There were no batteries in the remote for the tv.
4) Which didn’t make much difference as the tv didn’t work anyway when I swapped out the batteries for the air con.
5) The air con worked but didn’t turn down meaning that I had to constantly turn it on and off.
6) The swimming pool had safety issues in that the side of the pool had a suction hole which sucked people in if they got close. Thankfully it was only me that discovered it and not the kids.
7) our drivers quarters were full of cockroaches and he was asked to give up his fan for a “guest” half way through the night.

Anuradhapura is ancient city in Sri Lanka .There are plenty of places to visit in Anuradhapura. Ruwanweliseya is one of the best remarkable place in the world because lord buddha's spiritual value hidden inside there. All Buddhist and non Buddhist people should visit there .
Owner was unbelievably helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. Went out of their way to help us. Stayed in 2 different rooms (last minute change of plan on our behalf) and both were beautiful, really clean and gorgeous view over the faddy field to roof top. Was clean and all amenities we needed. We even hired bikes for for the day to visit Anuradhapura with bike lock. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. Owner is a very good chef and the best food we had in Sri lanka .Would go back in a heart beat!
The swimming pool is huge and perfect to relax in after a very hot day in Anuradhapura. It only costs 1.500 rupees to rent a bike for a day, which is a perfect way to discover the city. It’s also not a far tuktuk ride to Mihintale, which is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but for us it was perfect as the city itself was not as nice and very dusty. A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
The Arachchie Heritage is a wonderfully perfectly managed property. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The staff is very attentive and fulfills every wish. The very tasty meals can be taken on one of the three terraces, from where different species of birds can be observed. In the evening you have an impressive view over the lake to the illuminated pagodas of the Sacred City. It was very difficult for us to say goodbye.
My recent stay at Hotel White House was fantastic! The staff's warm hospitality, spotlessly clean rooms, and delicious dining options made my visit memorable. The hotel's convenient location near Anuradhapura's historical sites was a definite plus. I highly recommend Hotel White House for a delightful stay in this charming city. Thanks to the entire team for their excellent service!

Location of the hotel was perfect. Within walking distance to most of the historical places in old city. The hotel was located in a nice area next to a paddy field. Beautiful rooftop with a great view of the pagodas. We got customized vegan breakfast on request.
Lovely garden, the rooms are very basic but clean. The location is great, super close to the small restaurants and bars on the water and easy to get a tuktuk to the old town. Good for a night. Very friendly staff and laundry service.
