I have just stayed for a day because I didn’t want to spent...
I have just stayed for a day because I didn’t want to spent around 25 dollars for the ancient cite. But I have walked around and prayed in Siri Maha Bodhi Tree area which is a massive and fascinating place! I have visited some other places such as Isurumuni Royal Temple and even sat down in front of the meditation stone and meditated there for a bit and it’s a very chanting place to be!

The old city and temple complex is huge and takes a long time to walk around. In many parts you are not allowed to wear shoes or hats, so if you don’t want burnt feet, take some socks and wear sunscreen and carry water.

1) No hot water in the shower.

2) A whirring / drilling noise that kept me up all night, perhaps coming from one of the hotel pumps / generators from above. When I enquired about this at reception I was told that “the hotel was full” and my questions as to what it could be were rebuffed with a “goodnight”.
3) There were no batteries in the remote for the tv.
4) Which didn’t make much difference as the tv didn’t work anyway when I swapped out the batteries for the air con.
5) The air con worked but didn’t turn down meaning that I had to constantly turn it on and off.
6) The swimming pool had safety issues in that the side of the pool had a suction hole which sucked people in if they got close. Thankfully it was only me that discovered it and not the kids.
7) our drivers quarters were full of cockroaches and he was asked to give up his fan for a “guest” half way through the night.

Anuradhapura is ancient city in Sri Lanka .There are plenty of places to visit in Anuradhapura. Ruwanweliseya is one of the best remarkable place in the world because lord buddha's spiritual value hidden inside there. All Buddhist and non Buddhist people should visit there .
This hotel has high cost-perfomance included thier hospitality and kindness.
The biggest obstacle in my trip to Sri Lanka was transportation, but they told me the order to the hotel before arrival.
Room is beautiful, hot There is no problem with the water pressure of the shower, and the hot water is solid. meal is also nice.
We rented a bicycle and toured the temples of Anuradhapura.
Finally,he consulted us about the next itinery and helped us get on the bus, which is difficult for travelers.

What a find. If your visiting Anuradhapura to spend a couple of days temple visiting then this hotel is ideal for a base and somewhere to relax after a few hours in the sun walking around the sites
Its perfect to sit back and relax by the pool with a cold beer and recharge your batteries
A word of warning do not order to much food...the portions are huge and are enough for 2 people to share...I would strongly recommend staying at Saliya Gardens if you visit Anuradhapura

Very calm & quiet place with a beautiful eye soothing view of a lush paddy field as far as the eye can see. The rooms were clean and nicely designed. Very nice place to relax. Convenient to all sacred places at Anuradhapura. The food is pretty good & even though it was vegi and egg, had a number of verities. The staff is extremely friendly & helpful. Will come back for sure.

We had an amazing stay at kubura resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Anuradhapura. The staff were attentive, friendly, and happy to help with anything. The breakfast was great and we had a delicious selection of Sri Lankan curries for dinner. It was lovely sitting out by the palm trees watching the birds The pool was perfect for a dip after a day of exploring in the sun. Thank you to everyone at kubura resort for the best stay!
The hotel is located in an amazing location and the host upgraded one of our rooms for free because the previous client had cancelled. The views from the balcony are amazing and catching the sun rising over the paddy fields in the morning is a must. The service is extremely friendly and efficient as well. They even went out of the way to help us with some work we had to do in the city, a truly hospitable and comfortable place
Overall, our experience was great! The room was spacious and cosy. The staff was well-trained ,compared to most hotels in Anuradhapura.The pool was fairly large and the surrounding was very nice with lot of shade from trees.The food was great with a variety of choices (local and international) , staff was very friendly and very caring. The restaurant manager, Mr Pilapitiya was very friendly and accomodative to our requests.

Pali was an incredible host. We spent a whole afternoon visiting the sacred places in Anuradhapura and I was so lucky to do it during the full moon fest. Pali share all that energy with me. The place is so comfortable and clean, really good value for the money. I will repeat the next time in Sri Lanka.

Plus point was the stay at the hotel made me convenient to explore and capture the beauty of Anuradhapura. The Hotel building was amazing and I couldn't take off my eyes from the antique nature. And then the food was extremely delicious and upto high quality standards.
Rooms are very good with Moskitonet and AC. The owner was very nice and he explained the whole city map to us. This was very helpful. You can arrange a tuktuk oder rent a bicycle at the hotel. Everything was very clean, we didn't have that before in Sri Lanka.
The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice and modern. The restaurant has great food! The hotel also arranged a private tourgide to visit Mihintale and the temples. He gave us the best Anuradhapura experience.
