The view of Mt Fuji from our Japanese Wester-Style room with Mt Fuji view was incredible and a highlight of a trip along with the Onsen, first thing in the morning and last thing at night, amazing. The hotel has a short walk to the ropeway, walk out the front doors then walk around the building to your right, you will find a little path that takes you to a side door of the ropeway. A must is the Hakone pass!

I booked a room with a fireplace which was lovely and peaceful and views over the treetops. Yes the rooms could do with a lick of paint however the venue is under new management so I expect they will work to bring everything up to a high standard again.

The food and the service was amazing, in both restaurants. They have a shuttle to the main port of the lake and back every 20 minutes from 9am to 5pm. Great view on the lake. If you are lucky and you have western breakfast outsite you can see the Fuji while eating. Overall the whole service was great.

Absolutely incredible staff from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure. In particular, Yuuta was so helpful, attentive, and downright elegant.
An EXCEPTIONAL breakfast and dinner were included with our room, prepared as Japanese interpretation of multi-course French cuisine. The view from the dining area was stunning. Absolutely wonderful.

Staff were incredibly welcoming and lovely. A highlight was the convenience of having Box Burger restaurant right within the accommodation. The food was not only delicious but also catered exceptionally well to both vegetarians and vegans. The traditional futon on tatami floors was a unique experience and comfortable enough, though it might not be suitable for everyone.
