Good sized small town. So much to see and do. We stayed 4 nights and used it as a base for day trips to Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Pompeii. The transportation is pretty good. Buses run to Positano and Amalfi but are usually standing room. The subway can be used to get to Naples/Pompeii and is pretty cheap around 4 Euros. The ferry to Capri is usually standing room also. Many good reasonably priced restaurants in the town.

All the characteristics needed for a summer vacation can be found there it is clean beautiful streets and suitable transport. it is clean and gives the opportunity from there to go anywhere you like - Capri, Positano, Amalfi.

Sorrento is a beautiful city with beautiful views and beautiful beaches. It’s such a vibrant and lively town to stay and enjoy holiday. However, in some areas are very crowded so it’s not convenient to get through a narrow street with crowded tourists. For public transport: bus, train, and ferry are always long queues and long wait for tourists to travel from Sorrento to Positano or Amalfi.

It is very hilly which I did expect so no surprise but getting about if you have mobility problems could be an issue. It is very busy even for May. The locals are very nice and friendly. Drinks and food are quite expensive generally and getting around can be expensive. If I were to come again I would recommend staying in the very centre of Sorrento and to avoid hotels with courtesy buses unless you are happy to walk or pay for extra taxis when the bus isn’t running at a time convenient for you. Most tours have free hotel pick ups but not all so check this when booking anything otherwise you could end up paying a fortune just getting to the meeting point! Overall a pretty place with lots to do but expensive. If you like seafood - visit Marina Grande and eat at Porto Marina restaurant. You can’t book but we went at 7.30 and had to wait 10 mins but they gave you a glass of wine while you waits. Beautiful place to watch the sunset and excellent seafood at a fairly reasonable price for Sorrento. I’d say the best meal we had in Sorrento.
Amazing amazing stay! This was our last hotel in Italy and by far, the best. Perfectly located near many restaurants and shops; 10 min walk to the train station and the marina. The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom has a full sink, bidet, and full shower with a waterfall shower head. Our bed was made, bath towels changed, and toiletries refilled daily. And the AC! The AC blows so cold which was very important for my fiance who runs hot all the time. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was attentive and friendly!

Clean, bright, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, ironing board and iron, hairdryer, Sky Tv. The location was ideal being right on the harbour front and only a 10 to 15 minute walk into Sorrento Centre. The view from the balcony of the harbour, Naples and Mount Vesuvius was was amazing. Our host helped with booking trips along the Amalfi Coast, suggesting of where to go, what to see and good restaurants to eat at. All in all a wonderful 4 nights spent in a beautiful part of Italy.
Sorrento experience is an awesome find. We were picked up at the train station which was very nice. They provided us with gluten free foods for breakfast which was very good. They went out of their way to find gluten free yogurt which was greatly appreciated. Gaetano was so very helpful when we needed assistance with tours and transfers. Such a kind man. They even provided laundry services which was a nice bonus They made our first week in Italy very memorable. Would recommend this place highly
The best part of the property is clearly the view and patio. One would not have such a great view of the Bay of Naples and Sorrento while staying in town, and the patio provides a large space for many people to relax and observe. The local village of Priora, with its lemon farms, is also quite charming and gives you more of a feel of rural Italy, despite the proximity to busy Sorrento. Sorrento itself is pretty accessible through a network of both public and private bus services, as well as taxis.
Palazzo delle Grazie was our favorite hotel during our Italy trip. The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated, recently renovated, and are very comfortable. Above all, the service is exceptional. Even before our arrival, the staff was very communicative via chat when we inquired about tours, private transfers, etc. Alida, Rovatiana, Francesca, Anna, and Nello, are so charming, friendly, and helpful. They made our stay in Sorrento a very special one. I can’t imagine a better experience.
Excellent location as could cut through to the main street. Near the main train station, all of the shops and restaurants but set back so not noisy. Liked having a patio. Helpful having a fridge in the room. The included breakfast was good for what we needed and set us up for the day. Plenty to eat. The room was lovely with good storage space for clothes. This was the best accommodation during our whole trip in Italy. Its within 6-minute walking distance to the Sorrentos city centre and its amazing port views. Regarding the apartment, all was superclean and designed with an excellent taste, bathroom included. The owner is a very nice lady who helped us with all we needed. The highlight was the royal breakfast, which we had on a balcony with a view. If you plan to visit Sorrento, definitely stay at NeroBianco :-)
Very beautiful and unique place in among lemon groves. Fruit trees and roses in the garden and an amazing view from a terrace on the roof. Enza went above and beyond: she met us at the train station and gave us a ride to her property. Best breakfast we have had at a B&B during our entire stay in Italy!! Free shuttle to and from the property was great. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect place near to the port in the city center. The room was nice and had everything you need. The breakfast was the best ever I had in Italy, different kinds of homemade food. Good coffee too. Dino, Candida and Rosa were very welcoming and helpful during our stay at this family-owned hotel. The facility was very comfortable, location views were stunning, and the morning breakfast service was exceptional for Italy hotels. The cost was good value, compared to other hotels during our extended travels in Italy/Sicily.
