Milan is a beautiful city dominated by culture, history and cleanliness, and unlike other Italian cities, it is quite safe. It is also well connected by public transport. The only complaint is the availability of wi-fi. Very few places have available wi-fi, and only in the center near the cathedral is it possible to use public wi-fi, which is very weak. In addition to the city center and the Duomo, you should definitely visit the magical Navigli, full of lovely riverside cafes and street vendors. Campione park and castle are also beautiful. In a word, Milan is a city where you feel beautiful! Recommendation!

The area around the Cathedral is wonderful and enjoyed investigating this area. However, Milan was overall a huge disapointment. Once you get any distance from the Duomo the city degrades into grime and graffiti. There are a lot of migrants and rough sleepers and although a lot of police on the streets, I felt very unsafe here. I would not want to be on the streets here at night. I will not return to this city.

Milan was an unforgettable trip!
Milan was an unforgettable trip! The Duomo is a must-see incredible architecture and views from the rooftop. We enjoyed amazing Italian food: pasta, pizza, pinsa, and risotto, every meal was delicious. Getting around is easy, but taxis are pricey. We recommend using metro, buses, or trains to save money and time. As a young couple, we loved exploring the city, enjoying romantic dinners, and taking day trips to Venice and Pompeii. One hidden gem: a visit to Serravalle Designer Outlet perfect for fashion lovers and just an hour away.

Unfortunately I didn’t stay long enough to get the whole vibe of the city but I got to see what I came to see which was The Last Supper and the Duomo. I don’t shop at those expensive designer brands, so that did not interest me. I also am a vegan and the food in Italy is primarily meat, cheese and bread. Thank goodness for Aldi.
The Duomo was worth the whole trip, absolutely breathtaking. For a mere 20+ euros you can by a combo ticket that lets you in the basilica, climb to the top via stairs and into the museum. It is located right next to the galleria so you can experience it; however be prepared for expensive food and drink.

A simple hotel equipped with everything you need to explore Milan. The location is great - not far away from the central train station. The city centre can be reached easily by metro or bus. A great quality / price ratio.
