Ravello was wonderful. It is exceptionally beautiful and is more peaceful than Amalfi or Positano. It is a hidden gem from my perspective with magnificent views of the sea. There are steps everywhere so you definitely need to wear flat or comfortable walking shoes, but it is also exceptionally clean and the people are gracious and welcoming!

Ravello is a perfect spot in the Amalfi Coast.
Ravello is a perfect spot in the Amalfi Coast. It is away from the beach and the crowded towns of Amalfi and Positano but has easy access to them via the local bus network and ferries. Other beachside towns (Minori and Maiori) can be walked to with the local buses providing transport back. Being higher, Ravello has stunning views and gets lovely breezes. It is also close to the Valle delle Ferriere walk, hosts Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone and many excellent restaurants and shops. Really a perfect spot to holiday. My favourite restaurant was Le Cucina di Sofi in via Rome - honest simple tasty food, although the Garden Ristorante and Bella Vista sul Mare were also very good. There is a music festival in June each year and while I missed it, I can imagine how good it would be because the ‘stepped’ area of the town is a natural amphitheater.
Be prepared for stairs when visiting the Amalfi coast. The best places to stay involve stairs. Pack as light as possible as buses and ferries and streets are crowded and because of the stairs. I discourage driving the a Amalfi Coast. There is one major road, it is clogged from morning to night and was not built for the sizes of vehicle that use it today so is mayhem. Taxies are very overpriced. I recommend that you use the frequent buses and shuttle services instead.

Ravello is on top of the mountain and not a seaside town...
Ravello is on top of the mountain and not a seaside town like other Amalfi coast towns. There is a nice charm in the town itself. For those that don't rent a car, there is a bus that takes you to Amalfi. There are also paths that take you to Minori and Amalfi, just remember that the elevation of Ravello is at 1000ft, so walking to the other towns will require a walk back up the mountain or the use of a bus or taxi.

Ravello is all about the views, which are incredible.
Ravello is all about the views, which are incredible. The town itself is small but there are a handful of great restaurants and shops to see. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of Positano and Amalfi, this is the place.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. When the day-tourists arrive it becomes a bit crowded. In general it is a tourist place. Souvenir shops with overpriced ceramics and other useless items. There are some nice restaurants.
It is very difficult to get to and from Ravello with public transportation. Taxis in Amalfi charged 100 euro to go to Ravello, pure robbery. The bus takes 1½ hours from Amalfi and doesn't go often. You can walk down to Minori and Amalfi. Takes 45-60 minutes depending on fitness level. Walking up is also possible, but quite hard for the average person.
The location was fabulous and we could hear the sea lapping the rocks at night. We had dinner there on the first night and it was incredible. Also had a massage, which was excellent. There is are a couple of great walks "The path of Lemons", which takes you over the hill between Minori and Maiori, and the the steep climb up to Ravello, which begin just opposite the hotel entrance.
The staff were really responsive to our needs and provided conditioner when asked and a kettle and milk for our morning tea.
Simona House was very clean and spacious with a large well appointed kitchen and separate lounge room in a private courtyard. It is in an amazing position two minutes walk into the township. It is situated on a beautiful street across the road from the elegant 5 star hotels. Simona was extremely attentive and generous and meet us promptly on arriving and leaving. Parking is available if you pre-book it with Simona at a secure parking lot. We loved our stay at Simona House and highly recommend it.
Exceptionally clean, spacious, well-furnished and conveniently located appartment. Annalisa was a great host, helping with pre-arrival transportation instructions and greeting us at the bus stop at Ravello. She was available for questions throughout our stay and helped us find local stores, restaurants, points of interest and transportation options. Couldn't ask for a better experience travelling with a family of two young kids.
This hotel took their COVID cleanliness seriously and we felt very safe here. The location is great and close to the Ravello town (easy 10 minute walk, they also offer a shuttle). All of the staff members were incredibly helpful whether it was arranging taxis, providing recommendations or assisting us with breakfast. Rooms were larger than expected and very quiet with jaw dropping views. The pool area was great as well!
We had the best stay on our Italy trip with Daniela and her family! They were super nice and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the garden and the room is just gorgeous. We liked it so much that wanted to stay additional nights. The steps indeed are way too steep however the shuttle stops right in front of the B&B so the location was not an issue. We will be back for sure!
Everything - this is the most beautiful place in the world. The building is absolutely spectacular, the room was so lovely and the garden is beyond peaceful. The service is impeccable and the staff are very kind. As if that weren’t enough, the restaurant is absolutely outstanding. While it may be under a new name now, the beauty and perfection of Hotel Palumbo still remains here.
Fabulous location with incredible views of the Amalfi coast. Friendly, warm, helpful staff. Nice restaurant for dinner, good breakfast options. This a gem of a hotel and very good value for money in Ravello. Cool 1960s history too. It’s not super fancy or luxurious but is family run charm at its best.
We loved it here. Like travel from another era.
The owner and staff were amazing and made our stay unique and comfortable. The property and facilities were very clean, updated, and welcoming. Definitely one of our very best stays in Italy. Location is quiet and relaxing and away from town. We walked into town (a bit of a hike) at least twice a day but it would have been a easy drive as well.
The property was immaculately clean and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The views from the bar, restaurant, pool and rooms were breathtaking and the location of the hotel is perfect. With a bus stop less than a minutes walk and Ravello square under 5 minutes it was spot on.
Genuinely nice Hotel in perfect spot in Ravello. Toni and his staff were extremely helpful and nice. Particularly good breakfasts and the Restaurant of the Hotel is fantastic. We ordered dinner that was one of the best in all our trip to Italy. Highly recommended!
It is a charming, bucolic, intimate setting nestled on a hilltop in beautiful Ravello. Views are amazing. The breakfast was delicious with fruits and veggies from the garden and home baked goods. Martina is amazing, friendly, organized and very responsive.
Super clean rooms and really nice owner and staff. Small, quiet, and a 2-minute bus ride to downtown Ravello (the hotel is in Torello, which is an adjacent village). If you’re driving, you can park for 12€ / day on the street just outside the hotel.
It is a cute place to stay at in Ravello. Have to say that I wasn't a big fan of the bed blankets, but the room itself was spacious and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend the hotel's restaurant as we are there and the food was really good.
The location was near the square and on the path we needed for the wedding venue villa eva. The pool was nice and having a pool bar was a plus. The hotel staff were very helpful and kind. They organized our rides and took our luggage to the ride.
A stunning hotel with an amazing terrace. The view from our room was breathtaking .
Well located in Ravello which we loved .
The swimming pool wasn’t heated so a bit chilly .
All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Lovely hotel in central Ravello. We stayed here for 4 nights as we were attending a wedding in a hotel next door.
The location is great, the rooms were very clean and Sabrina is an excellent hostess.
The bed and breakfast is located in a perfect location in Ravello, just across the bus stop and with fantastic views. There's also a great little cafe down the street.
Great view to the amalfi coast and the mountains, breakfast was one of the best that we had in Italy. Hotel is very central to the main attractions in Ravello.
