I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it is.
I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. Much bombed during WWII it still has some historic buildings in the town and in the surroundings including the archeological park, It has good public transport connections and is within easy reach of the spectacular and touristy town of San Gimignano by bus and other places such as the less developed Colle Val d'Elsa.

Great location to make as a base for a few days in Tuscany. Loads of places to drive to everyday. Can drive and park at train station to places like Cinque Terre and Florence instead of driving to these places which will be a nightmare

If you come for a short holiday, maybe you can find a better place. Poggibonsi is not actually bad, but it does have a good non-European population which may not seem like 'real Italy' for you. The town seems a bit run down and dusty so not the ideal place for a vacation. It's the kind of place that shows you clearly that in 30 years the Italian population there will disappear. Otherwise, the place is acceptable and you can access any major landmark from Tuscany fast, with a car of course.

It is a great little town right off the main road between...
It is a great little town right off the main road between Florence and Siena so it is very easy to get too. They have restaurants, shops, and stores in town for everything you need. If you are going for wine country it lies on the far western side of the Chianti Reserve region and is a 45 minute drive to the heart of the wineries.

Very nice town on excellent position in heart of Toscana. Excellent train connection to Firenze and Siena. Especially wants to recommend bar "American 1950 Diner" which makes you feel like in movie Grease ... exceptional and food was amazing.
A large, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished apartment full of lovely touches - lace curtains, glass container for cotton pads in the bathroom, beautiful blankets and sheets, a great selection of tourist literature and an adorable coffee machine with a choice of coffees. The hosts are exceptionally kind and helpful. The apartment is very conveniently located close to the stations of Poggibonsi, so you can explore Siena and San Gimigniano and come back to great comfort in the evening.
Even though we arrived 5 hours due to multiple traffic jams on the highway, the host still took time to organize a dinner at a restaurant nearby. This is an example of the small details that made our stay very pleasant and a definite recommendation. The location and the view always makes it possible to just spend a beautiful evening at the house and enjoy it looking at the stars or by chatting with other guests.
The room with an awesome view to the vineyard nearby, the breakfast was super delicious with homemade bakery and a very tasty omelette. The Villa San Lucchese is an amazing place to rest and is very close to Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and have the very Tuscan atmosphere. The restaurant is a must to try.
We stayed there for 3 nights and truly appreciated.
The location of the accommodation is ideal for reaching the main attractions, and Poggibonsi is also close by car, where you can get everything. The road leading to the accommodation is really narrow, but the pavement is good, doesn't cause any problems.
The pool and its surroundings are very nice, with suitable sunbeds, pleasant after sightseeing.
Very convenient location, only few minutes outside the highway, the proximity to public transport and big market. Hotel is in a strategic location between Florence, Siena and other small Tuscan towns. Big and clean rooms, good breakfast. Staff extremely professional, kind and attentive (both at reception and at breakfast):-)
We were incredibly pleased with everything. First of all, thanks to the hospitable staff, your stay is even more beautiful. The cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the bed and pillow was wonderful. The pool was clean, breakfast was very good. We had our meals at the restaurant in the hotel and it was very successful.
The location of the hotel was stunning with a wonderful view of the valley. Rooms were cosy and essential but nevertheless sleek and comfortable. The staff was simply amazing, highly professional and skilled. An honorable mention goes to Monica (the restaurant waitress) for her excellent services during dinner.
The location is very convenient, it's in the town with private parking. Poggibonsi Is Also a good location to discover the surrounding area. The house is a typical Tuscan country home, it was lovely, the breakfasts great and the hosts charming and very helpful.
Beautiful countryside views, nice pool area, delicious breakfast, not many people. If you plan your vacation on foot, be prepared for a 2km hike from Poggibonsi train station to the accomodation. Reaching the spot on foot is quite safe, not a lot of traffic.
The hotel's location was perfect. Very close to the station, easy to find and easily accessible by car. The staff was really nice and my room had a nice view onto a church behind the hotel. Check in and out went smoothly without any problems.

It’s ok. The breakfast was only sweet no cheese or bologni. In covid times is problem that they must serve the breakfast.
