This was a special note in our excursion around Sicily, because this is an installation in the countryside.
We stayed only for one night although we wish we had planned for more. The entire installation is very well designed and maintained so you can easily find yourself comfortable and relaxed. The only restriction you may feel is the time plan/ horario, because of the special working conditions of the staff, ie you cannot enter the premises and checkin before 15:30 because between 13:00 and 15:30 they are closed! The same stands with the breakfast hour 8:30-9:30, where you cannot enter the breakfast room before 8:30.
Rooms spacy and very clean, everything working fine, complimentary drinking water in the room. Having a car is a necessity, parking space plenteous.
Well recommended
Just a 2-minute walk from the Selinunte Archaeological Park, Il Tempio Di Hera is an intimate property on Sicily’s southern coast.

Villa Anna is set in a beautiful sub tropical garden, full of flowers and birds. The Villa is very clean, with eclectic decor, and the owner and staff were helpful and friendly. Generous Italian breakfast. The location is convenient for Selinunte ( and in season for the beach). Short drive to a variety of restaurant.
The adult-only B&B Villa Sogno is an elegant building of the early 20th century, renovated preserving its Neoclassic style.

I loved everything about the property . It was calming , soothing , comforting due to the caring and warm nature of Chinzia and her husband .
The room was beautifully decorated AND so comfortable . We had our own sitting area in the beautiful gardens within sight of the luxurious swimming pool .
Breakfast was sublime with homemade and organic products made by Chinzia .
Honestly don’t hesitate to book here …..you do need a car as it is too far to walk into the town .
Set in the Sicialian coastal village of Marinella di Selinunte, Demetra Malophoros offers colourful modern rooms with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Very friendly host, easy parking, great breakfast and good room.
The accommodation is comfortable and a good size. The large balcony has a good view over the sea. The beach is 30-40 yards down steps. Giuseppe, the owner, is really helpful and determined his guests enjoy the area and it’s sights. His advice about Selinunte archaeological park and the auction at the fish market by the harbour was good. We didn’t know about the latter and it’s a fascinating element of local activity and culture to see. His restaurant recommendations were also good - Thank you!

Small and calm village.
Small and calm village. There is one shop and few good restaurants.
We had everything what we needed. But for someone who needs more action could be boring after few days. We visited Palermo, Marsala, Trapani, Erice. It's posible to use public transport for all those trips also with children (we have 3).

Visiting the archaeological park - definitely YES (4-5h), accommodation / stay in Marinella - definitely NO:
- clean beaches are basically only payable, free beaches are dirty, and in the water a very large amount of algae (much better situation and warmer water in the town next door - Triscina).
- watch out for sellers and cashiers trying to deceive the tourist at every step (no prices on goods or a different price on the goods, and a different price at checkout). Only in this town we have encountered fraud attempts on such a scale (both in the grocery store and in the supermarket). Extremely fair service at the bakery.

The host was especially kind as my husband and I did not speak Italian and she tried her hardest to speak in English. The breakfasts were excellent and there was a good choice of sweet and savoury options. I loved the cheese, prosciutto and melon. The room was exceptionally clean and we were upgraded at no extra cost. It was only a short drive to the archaeological park but it was easily walkable if needed. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and would recommend this accommodation heartily.
I love everything about the property! Fantastic staff, excellent food, great location, fantastic architecture and decor, rooms could not have been more clean or beautifully designed. Would love to come back,. I give this hotel my highest rating and would recommend it to family and friends.
Excellent location, spacious comfortable room, lovely deck with chairs, secure metal blind. Pretty quiet. Easy and free street parking. Beds were very comfortable! we walked to the ruins, quick and easy! Restaurants and bars, plus beach area, nearby. Very nice host!
Very friendly staff. Great location near the archaeological park. The family tales pride in this facility and made is feel very welcome. There is a very nice breakfast room. The bedroom is large and there is enclosed parking in front of the hotel.
This place was a good stop over between cities in our trip to Sicily. The lady owner of the place was wonderful and provided lots of assistance. Breakfast was quite good, too. Parking was on the street at the front of the hotel.
Breakfast was excellent. The town is largely shut down in November. We had an excellent dinner at Boomerang restaurant. Il Pescatori is very close to the Greek ruins at the archeological park.
Every detail. The floors shined. The hosts very welcoming. The gardens and pool area were resort quality. The towels, the sheets, all first rate. Breakfast was also excellent.
We loved the hotel and staff was excellent!!! So friendly and accomodating!
The proximity to the archaelogical site was superb.
The meals were excellent!
