A truly lovely city without the chaos of Jaipur or Delhi. It felt like an oasis. The city centre is very exciting - and attractive. The sunset boat ride is a must, also the puppet show at the museum, and the folk dancing at the city palace.
Excellent location, I was able to walk to the main sights in Udaipur. The place is a 300 year old palace in great shape. I had a room with a view of the City Palace. Everything was working, good need and good got water. Room pretty. I took the boat ride organized by the hotel which was very nice. The restaurant is one of the most romantic I have seen - in beautiful garden by the lake with full view of all of Udaipur. I ended up eating there three times! Overall one of the best hotel experiences I had in a long time especially for the value.
Right on the banks of Lake Pichola and hosing the iconic Ambrai Resturant, this property is well maintained and has excentional rooms in the heritage wing. The new wing is also good but lacks character of the Haveli Wing. Exceptional service, Great Breakfast with the owner Lady taking regular stock of the services. The hotel is underpriced, since the approach is a through congested bylanes but in rooms and views it competes with the best and pricier ones at Udaipur.
Our room had a great view of the lake. Meals were excellent, especially breakfast with tasty Indian and western dishes. The location was perfect, although the path to the marketplace and City Palace was steep. The nearby shopping was what we wanted. We enjoyed the Rajasthani folk dance and puppet show, which was a short walk away from the hotel. The staff was helpful, professional, and they made our stay more enjoyable.
Hotel is located in one of the best locations of Udaipur and have a heritage look to it. The rooms are very cosy and comfortable. We just stayed here for one night and it was a memorable one. Hotel staff is very well trained and know Udaipur really well. I think they have recently renovated the space as few common areas including restaurant. Good option to stay in the city centre.

There was a night show with lights in the palace. It was outstanding as they portrayed the history of the kingdom. I loved it. It was the best experience so far now I have had in India.
Besides this, the hotel is gorgeous, the pool area is breathtaking, and the personnel is super kind. I would have loved to stay for longer. The price totally worth it.

This is the place to choose if you want the luxury of a hotel and warmth of a homestay. It was a lovely heritage property, at a walkable distance from the city palace and other tourist attractions. The best part was definitely the gracious owners and the lovely staff. I highly recommend this place in Udaipur.
I was reached udaipur around 11:50 PM and I have not taken dinner but as I reached hotel and ask the staff about anything which can be prepared then Nimesh ji and wife just said that restaurant is closed but then also u said they will arrange the dinner.

Jagat Niwas Palace is the most beautiful, romantic hotel in Udaipur. The hotel offers stunning views from both its restaurants. The food is priced reasonably and is very good quality with great service. Overall our stay was incredibly memorable and we were very sad to leave !
Great newly renovated hotel in the middle of old town Udaipur. The room was facing the street so had a lot of noice during the day from the reconstruction outside. Other than that clean and very high standard for a hotel in India. Great rooftop with nice service
This was my favourite hotel of a 2 week trip in India spanning various locations. The images are true to the experience of staying. The greeting was warm on arrival. It felt like a good base. Our room was heritage rustic vibe with a great view of the water.
