Well I have been visiting the Queen of the Hills eversince I was a kid. So it was only fair for me to take my kids this time around. Although I had myself returned after about 14-15 years and found nothing changed.
The Mall, The Ridge, The Lift, Jakhu Temple et al!
The ropeway up to Jakhu temple was a welcome sursprise though!

Not advisable to stay in Shimla.
Not advisable to stay in Shimla. It is too crowded in summers, traffic jams everywhere. Shimla is not clean also. So it is always advisable to stay at a place near Shimla. That way stay will be peaceful and one can enjoy nature also.

It was an excellent trip. We stayed 3 nights. Its quite relaxing. The room was veru clean, spacious . Staff was very humble and supportive. Kitchen services were excellent. The head care take Mr Vikas was attending personally and was so polite and familiar. Wish him success n aashirwad.

Beautiful city and amazing to see the British side of things. 2-3 days is max to stay in Shimla. Lots of places to choose from to eat and drink. Beware of the monkeys on the street specially if you are holding food. The train track and the Viceregal lodge was my favourite and being a Christian the two church was beautiful to see and still being used.

Opt right time to travel to shimla , it is famous and easily reachable place, so during holiday expect huge crowd in shimla. Adventure sport , select with your wisdom and many place proper safety measure not taken because of too much crowed.
mazing property on shimla! The design of a luxury hotel with well trained staff! It also offers a shuttle car to the pedestrian bridge that leads you to mall road. Though the walk was less than 200 m and it was fine to walk! But so much to offer in this hotel, you could ask for a bonfire romantic dining experience at the terrace and food is amazing (I had a continental dinner)

Parking is the issue but that's everywhere in Shimla.
We were thrilled to know that they allow pets and our little dog had a great time running around in the terrace garden. The room was cosy with a great view of Shimla and the hotels proximity to Mall Road made everything so convenient
We were happy to find such a pet friendly hotel near Mall Road. The room waspreciate and had a lovely balcony with the incredible view of the Shimla hills. Having lift access and parking made our stay even more convenient.
