Better to pay Rs. 1000/- per person, if you want to have darshan within half hour. This may not be available on saturdays and sundays. Pl check. Online booking is available.
Do not forget to visit Mammiyoor sivan temple and Punnathurkotta for visiting elephants (both are close-by).
Car parking is available for Rs. 50 for 6 hours.
Food can be taken on the hotels on the East Nada street.

Guruvayoor is a temple town.
Guruvayoor is a temple town. Prime attraction is Guruvayoor Krishna Temple. Nice choice of accomodations are available in the town. Apart from the spiritual possibilities visits to nearby temples including Mammiyoor temple is recommended.
Shopping for gift items and memorabilia can be exciting.
Highly recommended for Hindu spiritually inclined travellers.
A visit to Chavakkad is also recommended for those who wish to have a glimpse of the sea and surf.

The city is pollution free, very helping and well behaved people here to guide visitors from other states, roads are clean and one can feel relaxed here amidst nature after a busy life.

Every year at least once we visit Guruvayoorappan (and at least every six hours every day in the mind!)
I suggest everyone allowed by temple rules must visit to find solutions for their problems,
There’s bad management of roads, drainage systems (our hotel bathroom rooms have drainage stench even at second floor 😡)
This is happening to a place which should be maintained to the highest level of standards humanely possible!
The room was decent and value for money. The size of the non-AC room was enough to accommodate a small family of 3 including a child. The facilities are also satisfactory in terms of service. As we have our own property in Guruvayur, we did not have the need to find accommodation on rent. Got an opportunity to try out Kairali. As a person who used to watch Kairali Tourist Home everyday during my native vacations, I am satisfied with the overall experience.
The staff were courteous & had limitations around policies for giving an early check in . However , The manager Mrs Ramani managed to give us one room out of three . We were not happy with the checking time as 3.00 PM , Since 3 out of 6 members were old above 65 years + & had no place to rest . The checking time should be 11 .00 AM especially in guruvayur where majority come for temple visits .
I booked Shiva Inn, Guruvayur through online (booking.com) for check in at 7-8 am which was approved by the hotel manager with no extra charges. . Next day morning, while checkout at 9.15 am, for extra one hour they charged Rs.700 including tax. But they gave a manuall bill only and not a GST bill. They did not keep up the promise given in their approval.
We had a large group of family who was in town for an event in the temple. The hotel staff ensured that the prerequisites were taken care of much in advance as we were traveling with an infant. Most of the staff were really courteous and accommodating. The rooms were well lit and comfy. Additionally the breakfast was a great spread.
The hotel was well located. It was hardly a 30 sec walk to Guruvayur temple. But this hotel deserve a good rating because of their efficiency in helping me search for some items left behind and even sending me the CCTV footage.
This shows they value their customers.

we arrived midnight around 2.45 am.the reception guy was helpful but the autorikshaw guy took us around the town charging us Rs1500 for dropoff from railway station to hotel.On the website it says 400 mts to temple .Pls correct misguided information.
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel which was close to the temple. The staffs were very polite and warm welcoming. We enjoyed the swimming pool facility. The room was excellent with good ambience and facilities

Location was great, I went there to visit temple and this hotel is walkable distance from temple. Food was ok, room was ok. Balcony was small. Bottom line, worth the money I spent to book the room.
