It's so crowded. There are few spots that u can visit, but most of the time in the year there is tight traffic jam and u can hardly cover one or two spots in a day. In addtion u can't enjoy the scenic beauty because of the crowd. U can't njoy the peace of the hills. If u want to njoy mountains, tranquility, scenic beauty of hills then kurseong or kalimpong is the best.

Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks...
Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

Good place to spend 3/ 4 days .
Good place to spend 3/ 4 days .
But you have to select hotels carefully , most of the reviews are not trustworthy
Nearby tourist attraction are ok .
Mall road is good , you can do bargain shopping.
People are good .
Good eating joints are not too many ( or may be we did not explore) .
It was lovely stay at Syengden Nikunj. The homestay is very well maintained and the owner and his wife(Parul didi) both are very sweet and helpful. The owner himself took us to see the Sunrise(with a cup of tea) & rainbow waterfall by their own car and charged very small amount for the same. The breakfast served was too good, even we can say it was the best breakfast we had during our 4 days stay in Darjeeling. I can say the homestay is much better than to stay in a costly hotel.
Excellent location at the hill top of Darjeeling. The rooms are extremely comfortable with wooden floors and roofs. You can view both valley and mountain range from room itself.
The hotel being located at hilltop, you may not get anything to purchase so easily, though the hotel gives complimentary drop at downhill Bazar. I would advise you to carry with you the essential things that you may need during your stay.
Continental breakfast was excellent, we stayed there four nights and five days. There was varity of food items in every morning with buffet system. Plenty of health drinks, fruit juice and lot of others. Location of hotel is also good with wide front road. On the top floor there is a beautiful garden. Wooden walls and floor of hotel rooms retains temperature which fells more comfotable inside in cooler Darjeeling.
It was quite an experience to stay at Olive tej Hotel Darjeeling. It is located at the heart of the mall with the Glenarys' right in front of it. The staff team was very welcoming and helpful; and our room was beautiful. But what we enjoyed the most was the lemon tea that they served and we are still looking for the anonymous tea leaves 😊😊
Superb Stay, room where very very nice. Bathroom was clean. Staffs were really very good. Location was also near Mall road. Also the hotel was walking distance from Singamari taxi stand from where one can get share taxi for some of sightseeing at 20/- rupees per head. Also one can get share taxi for Gangtok.
Very polite staff, facilities are satisfactory, cleanliness also good, water supply also good, car facilities also provided for mall road and other facilities also very good. If I come again darjeeling will prefer to Hotel Amaira and also refer to anybodelse.
At Solo Homestays in Darjeeling, I was impressed by the friendly staff who were always willing to help, the delicious home-cooked meals that fueled my explorations, and the clean and comfortable rooms that provided a welcome retreat after a day of adventure.
I have stay another muscatel hotel at darjeeling and gangtok as well.
They always exceeded my expectation.
Room is clean and they provide me free upgradation from delux to valley View room.
Thanks alot muscatel people.
See u soon again.
Brilliant! THE place in Darjeeling, for a cosy, comfortable, delightful little place! Shukrit the host, is absolutely marvelous! The best I've had in the last 15 years, I feel... The cuisine was phenomenal, too!
Best stay option near Darjeeling. The behavior of every staff was very good, especially Roger's. He is a very cool guy. His humility and hospitality impressed me greatly. Fully recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
It was an amazing stay . I recommend all the Darjeeling lovers to check the hotel out . You can enjoy the beautiful view with a cup of Darjeeling tea which the hotel provides as a complimentary.
We couldn’t find the location of the hotel, and no answer in the phone. We found ourselves without any option to stay in Darjeeling after a 3 hours drive from Siliguri.
Very disappointing
The rooms were clean, very comfortable .They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable .I highly recommend this homestay for anyone visiting Darjeeling.
