I will go out on a limb and recommend Cedar Inn to anyone travelling to Darjeeling. The Hotel has an "olden times" feeling about it, the staff was very courteous, rooms and facilities very clean and breakfast rich and savoury. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the Darjeeling center, but still within a 15 mins' walk from it.

It's so crowded. There are few spots that u can visit, but most of the time in the year there is tight traffic jam and u can hardly cover one or two spots in a day. In addtion u can't enjoy the scenic beauty because of the crowd. U can't njoy the peace of the hills. If u want to njoy mountains, tranquility, scenic beauty of hills then kurseong or kalimpong is the best.

It was good .. Darjiling is a historical mountain place . Toy train joyride is a huge fun .. it is our heritage for over 100 years since Darjiling Himalayan railways was made in the year 1921 . Zoo is beautiful and amazing specially for children .. wonderful Darjiling mall, horse rides , Glenarys , keventers . Site seeing for lamahatta and Tinchuley was mesmerising . Overall peaceful place high in the hills .

Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

I am send this amount... Unfortunately received a phone call from hotel they told me booking not confirmed because all room are booked.. this is very unfortunate for me.. because I am already on way with my family. That is very very unfortunate for me...
It was lovely stay at Syengden Nikunj. The homestay is very well maintained and the owner and his wife(Parul didi) both are very sweet and helpful. The owner himself took us to see the Sunrise(with a cup of tea) & rainbow waterfall by their own car and charged very small amount for the same. The breakfast served was too good, even we can say it was the best breakfast we had during our 4 days stay in Darjeeling. I can say the homestay is much better than to stay in a costly hotel.
The room and the views were incredible good and we had a pleasant stay here. :) After a Long time of travelling we really had a fantastic chance to relax and calm down. The host family is super duper nice and we felt so comfortable. Even when we were sick we had the chance to extend our stay and they even gave us some medicine which made us feel very home. Would definitely come here again if we come back to Darjeeling! :)
Buffet breakfast was excellent. Ambience of the Dinning hall was awesome. Food quality was very good with great variety.Rare information's about Mt Kanchenjunga and about Darjeeling and history of natives of the place were given in Dinning hall and entire hotel through hanging photos on wall was great for gathering knowledge. This is the Best hostel in Darjeeling. It has all the positive vibes. The rooms and the people are so vibrant. The room service, cleanliness, safety and comfort is exceptional. They have many indoor games, a projector, a bonfire, warm blankets, a small heater and good wifi. The owner is the most helpful guy. It is 5 mins away from the chowk bazar and 2 mins away from the Darjeeling station.

The host Pramada is a fantastic young lady. Very helpful and prompt with the services. Above all she cooks fantastic local delicacies which no hotel will ever serve you. Her homestay is a little away from Darjeeling town but really peaceful and surrounded by nature.

The view of Darjeeling from the property (specially Kanchenjunga, although we were not so lucky), its heritage looks, quality and quantity of food, room service, very nice and supporting attitude and behaviour of all the hotel staff, room facilities provided as promised, 24 hr room heater and hot water service.
Nice rooms, highly recommended! I was pleasantly surprised, the accommodation was great. Very spacious rooms and very attentive staff. The location was excellent for me. If I visit Darjeeling again ,I'll stay only in this hotel.I simply enjoyed the stay and it was excellent.

The Cedar Inn was a beautiful property situated in the mountain town of Darjeeling. You will have a view of the Himalayas in any room you stay in. The staff were so kind and provided exceptional service. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area!
The view of Kanchenjungha and Darjeeling from the room was amazing and breathtaking. The staffs at the hotel were very cooperative and helpful. The rooms were spacious and well maintained and designed. It was perfect for a family trip with elderly and kids.

We couldn’t find the location of the hotel, and no answer in the phone. We found ourselves without any option to stay in Darjeeling after a 3 hours drive from Siliguri.

Location is great, perhaps the best in Darjeeling. Hotel is clean, well maintained. Staff is friendly. Very nice terrace. Restaurant is also good. Having an elevator was a good idea.
