Stillorgan is predominantly a suburban, residential area so not really for tourists. However it is easily accessible to the city center by bus and also you can take a 15 minute or so walk to the Luas (light rail system) which also brings you to the city center or even Dundrum shopping center which has cinemas, restaurants and mini golf for those rainy days with the kids.

Fabulous old hotel with lots of well preserved history.

Fabulous old hotel with lots of well preserved history. Easy to reach from the N11 coming from the Motorway. Area is lovely and peaceful, had to stay there because of the nearby Embassy which is reachable by walking.

The room was very run down and very old fashioned. Dont know how it has a 5 star rating. I've stayed in 4 star nicer and more modern than it. The noise level was crazy. People from a wedding going in and out if eachothers rooms through the night. We reported it by phone to the duty manager. He offered us a different room but that long into the night we just didn't want too. He also said there was no noise so it was like he was saying we were lying. Put at a drafty terrible table for dinner. Asked to be moved.told no and then witnessed other residents being moved when they asked could they. Will not return.

your hotel was hopeless no heating,no soap liquid or other, ridiculous position of Tea coffee machine and kettle, Italian restaurant only. Had to walik through a kids play area with suitcases to get to elevator. No stopping at front of hotel so long walk with luggage. Breakfast area all chopped up with pillars not enough seats.

I booked the Stillorgan hotel as it was close to our daughter who rents near by and she was able to pick us up and we all travelled together to the musical Grease in Bord Gáis, most enjoyable. Then we all met again for breakfast in the hotel the next morning. So a most enjoyable and convenient time was enjoyed by all.

We really enjoyed our stay and visit at the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan. The great service began at the front desk and we experienced friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the hotel (Housekeeping, restaurant, concierge). The room was beautiful, spacious, very clean, and had great amenities. The hotel was situated close to activities we attended and Dublin City centre.

The grounds of the hotel are amazing The gardener really does a great job. The reception area could do with some work. However, the bar area is lovely. Food at breakfast was nice. Good price for Dublin, gardens are 5 star but rooms missing the extra love and didn't meet other 5 star hotels I have been to.

Very spacious room with a large comfortable bed, separate seating area, and dressing table with good lighting. Also loved the blackout curtains in our room which allowed us to have a sleep in. We had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel and both were freshly cooked and delicious.
