Stillorgan is predominantly a suburban, residential area so not really for tourists. However it is easily accessible to the city center by bus and also you can take a 15 minute or so walk to the Luas (light rail system) which also brings you to the city center or even Dundrum shopping center which has cinemas, restaurants and mini golf for those rainy days with the kids.

Fabulous old hotel with lots of well preserved history. Easy to reach from the N11 coming from the Motorway. Area is lovely and peaceful, had to stay there because of the nearby Embassy which is reachable by walking.

The room was very run down and very old fashioned.

The room was very run down and very old fashioned. Dont know how it has a 5 star rating. I've stayed in 4 star nicer and more modern than it. The noise level was crazy. People from a wedding going in and out if eachothers rooms through the night. We reported it by phone to the duty manager. He offered us a different room but that long into the night we just didn't want too. He also said there was no noise so it was like he was saying we were lying. Put at a drafty terrible table for dinner. Asked to be moved.told no and then witnessed other residents being moved when they asked could they. Will not return.

your hotel was hopeless no heating,no soap liquid or other, ridiculous position of Tea coffee machine and kettle, Italian restaurant only. Had to walik through a kids play area with suitcases to get to elevator. No stopping at front of hotel so long walk with luggage. Breakfast area all chopped up with pillars not enough seats.

I booked the Stillorgan hotel as it was close to our daughter who rents near by and she was able to pick us up and we all travelled together to the musical Grease in Bord Gáis, most enjoyable. Then we all met again for breakfast in the hotel the next morning. So a most enjoyable and convenient time was enjoyed by all.

We were welcomed into Talbot Hotel by none other than Bala. Bala's professionalism and charm is what resonated most with my partner and I. We were given the keys to our lovely room. We were presented with a large King Sized bed, a modern style bathroom with a large Tv. Everything you can ask for in one room. We would like to thank all the staff, from the reception who were so welcoming, to the housekeeping staff who brought extra amenities to our room promptly. It was definitely a memorable stay and we will be back again soon.

I visited this hotel with my daughter and her two friends last year and they couldn’t wait to return. St Helens is a”little oasis of calm” but still close to Dublin city. The grounds are fabulous and a fantastic setting for both breakfast and dinner. This was my fourth stay in the last 18 months and we have thoroughly enjoyed each stay. We were granted a room upgrade with lovely views of the garden. Breakfast was very good and breakfast staff extremely helpful and friendly. Beds were very comfy. We will return again

The staff here are what makes this hotel exceptional. From front desk, to bar, to the lovely John taking care of us in the morning and during our breaks (I was on a course at the hotel) - every single staff member did their utmost to make us feel welcome and cared for. Kudos to them in these challenging times - running hospitality in a pandemic is no easy task - their care and attention to detail as well as to our safety was very much appreciated!

Room was spacious, bed large and comfortable with table sofa and chair Large bathroom Tea and coffee facility. Breakfast was a self service buffet, but eggs were made to your specific wants, no vegetarian sausage but vegan sausage provided was really good. The Aircoach stop to and from airport right outside the hotel, Transport around Dublin is fantastic. Very happy and would use this hotel again.

the property, an elegant old Georgian mansion, was fully decked out for Christmas. It and the staff were lovely. I particularly loved the atrium bar area where I had a most delicious steak. The room was spacious and well appointed. the property is very well cared for. I loved that you could open the windows and catch that beautiful Irish air. I loved this place.

Breakfast was the best meal I had during my stay. I had two lunches chosen from the menu in the orangerie. The quality and choices on offer for mains on both days could be much improved going forward with very little effort on your part..I was happy with everything else.
