The food was excellent and the staff are outstanding. Bus stop outside hotel Is a great asset as bus travel is very cheap and easy around dublin.. Had to ask for tea/ coffee to be replenished after the first night and bed making skills of the maid left a bit to be desired as they didn't straighten the bottom sheet of the bed. Guinness storehouse is superb and Punchestown horse racing was very good too. Buskers bar in the temple bar area had great live acts on a day everyday ax well as showing all sports downstairs. We had premier league footy , rugby and fq all on at the same time. Temple bar area of town is buzzing all of the time

I had stayed in this hotel in the past.

I had stayed in this hotel in the past. Location is good if you want to get on the N6 but it is in need of updating. To be fair, work has commenced but needs to continue. Staff were fabulous and helpful but some areas need up grade. Breakfast ok but could be more varied. Rooms very clean but part of hotel very dated. I look forward to returning when work completed.

Lucan is a beautiful place for a holiday... Lovely village by the river with friendly people, cute cafés, restaurants, artisan bakery, fruit and veg shop, Centra shop, amazing park (St. Catherine's) and walks, very central. All Dublin tourist attractions within half an hour's drive. Plenty to do whatever the weather and whatever you are interested in.

We primarily went to see family who live there, so didn't do a lot of sightseeing. Lucan Village very nice, with the river. For children, a nice adventure playground at Griffeen Park. Easy access to Dublin - we went to the Aqua Centre and the Zoo. Didn't eat in Lucan itself (went to family) but plenty at Liffey Valley.

We booked very last minute as a place to stay before our flight the next morning without venturing into Dublin. When we arrived they told us their kitchen was closing in the next 10 minutes so they took our orders right away at check in so we could get some dinner. The hamburger and the fish and chips were excellent! And they served us right in front of the fireplace. Staff was lovely and very hospitable. The property was gorgeous and we wish we had more time to enjoy it all.

Our stay at the hotel was for a short night before a very early flight. Therefore, we were not able to enjoy the surroundings. However, the staff were fantastic. Abby (sp?), Alice, Erica, and Ian all did their job very well. The customer service was exceptional. The bistro and the bar staff were also outstanding. The building needs some TLC. But it still was interesting seeing the artwork and decor.

This is a home away from home. Very decent and quiet environment to have good rest and relaxation. From the kitchen, the sitting area and the bathroom were all super clean, equipped with towels and other toiletries. The bed was also very comfortable. It was very easy to get to Dublin and also the airport. The host was also very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely visit again.

The staff at the Lucan Spa Hotel are incredible. From check in to check out, they really went above and beyond. They were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother. The hotel, a 3 star, is very charming; the older section is beautiful and whilst lived in, spotlessly clean. Loved the bits of history on display.

Vast improvement at reception. The two women there were friendly & helpful. Location suited for access to the Hermitage Clinic next morning. Bar & waiting staff were efficient, competent & friendly. Nice bar food. A basic, old fashioned hotel. Perfectly adequate for my needs! This hotel is almost there.....

The staff were so friendly, especially Amy, who was so welcoming in reception and in the bar. The room was spotless, beds were comfy. Food was plentiful, you definitely would not go hungry. Convenient location close to Dublin city and not far from M50 so quite easy to navigate to and from hotel.

This place is better than the hotel stay. It's quiet - both in the property and outside, very comfortable and cozy. Exceptionally clean. You can cook yourself a meal or just get your fav food and store it in the fridge. A good shower. It feels like home. Highly recommended.

Location was good for us outside of Dublin for access to airport early the next morning without costing the earth. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were kind enough to prepare a takeaway breakfast as we were departing before the regular breakfast service.
