Leixlip is a small town, very friendly but Leixlip Manor was not up to scratch. We found a nice restaurant in Leixlip as the Leixlip Manor had no food for evening meal although we were advised it had. It was very disappointing,
We were thankful we only stayed one night.

Hotel is in great location for liffey valley shopping centre. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and evening dinner was good. Down side was bathroom shower hose sprayed out water went out onto floor. The sink stopper didn't work and also the toilet didn't flush very well. Had to put curtains up on window sill so the heat of radiator could get out.

Pretty little Irish village just outside Dublin iwth strong links to the Guinness family. Lovely walks along the river Liffey and countryside with plenty of pubs and dining options. Only 1/2 an hour by car from the airport, ferry terminals and Dublin City. 2 train stations with journey to Dublin also about 1/2 an hour and good value plus decent bus services. Liffey Valley shopping complex is also nearby. Overall providees the best of both worlds for a city/country stay
The 2 rooms were beside each other in the courtyard with their own entrances. The bathtub in our room was the biggest I've seen and the room was exceptionally clean and decorated nicely. The staff at the hotel were 10 out of 10, genuinely friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal in the bar and the lads could not have been more helpful. We travelled for a funeral so we were feeling pretty down, but after staying here we felt really refreshed and in much better form.
I have family in town and we always stay at the Springfield. Did notice a change in management etc, always a great stay but this time was exceptional. Food was as always great. Plan to continue using this hotel on every visit to Leixlip. It would make more sense to stay at an airport hotel the night before we fly home but I love this hotel and will continue to always stay there. Thanks for consistently excelling in every way.
Grainne saved my life that day, mine and my tourist's too!;) We had no rooms to stay at the nearby hotel, and I found her place which is located in the same district - I love Leixlip neighborhood, it's nice and peaceful there, far away from Dublin crowd!:) And so was the lodge! Apart from that, as I had no place to go, Grainne let me stay - as she had no more apartments available - at her own house! Amazing hospitality!:))
We did not have adequate time to fully explore Leixlip. However, it seemed like a nice area along the banks of the River Liffey, at the reconstructed site of Arthur Guinesses' first brewery (1756), complete with beer garden & sports bar. The first room that we were assigned was in need of a more thorough cleaning. The second assigned room was much better. Comfortable beds...it was all good.
Everything about this hotel was great. Its set in beautiful grounds right beside Leixlip village. It was spotlessly clean and the room was very comfortable. We were in one of the Courtyard rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this lovely old Manor to anyone looking for a bit of class at a low price!
We were there twice in a week (we used Dublin as a base to fly to Spain and Berlin). The first time we were in the gardens and we loved the room. The second time we were in the main house and the room as SPECTACULAR. The grounds are well kept and it was a great stop before flights.
Staff hospitality. I had a 5:55 AM flight from Dublin. The staff gave me a wake up call with perfect timing and packaged a take away breakfast for the road at 2AM. Couldn’t be sweeter. Also, room was spacious, comfy, and surprisingly modern.
Really comfortable place to stay, cute village, nice walks and easy to reach Dublin city in about 20-30 mins by car. About 30 mins from the airport too.
Good breakfast, cooked to order so fresh and hot! Good size room, comfy bed, quiet.
Great location close to Dublin but yet you feel you are away from the city. Nice amount of shops and restaurants close by in Leixlip. Lovely gardens to have a short walk on the hotel grounds. Staff were very nice and friendly.
Spacious room, cooked breakfast with selection from a menu. Bus stop to Dublin nearby. Private car park behind the municipal car park (behind Spar). Barrier opens automatically when entering. Code needed to exit.
EVERYTHING! Amazing, unique accommodations. Great location. Castletown, Leixlip, Maynooth… all beautiful and charming. Dublin… just a half hour away. We loved this place for so many reasons and highly recommend.
secluded and has a characteristic you’ll find nowhere else in Ireland! Makes you feel like you went back 200 years back in time! Nothing like this ever experience and if you have a chance to book don’t hesitate!
From the time of our arrival to departure, everyone we met were extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was delicious.
Ample parking available at the hotel. The room was freshly painted and exceptionally clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable.. Very accessible to the local village of Leixlip.
Our rooms were comfortable and quiet. Our breakfast was ample and tasty. We had a choice of menu items. It was close to the airport, so our morning departure was easy.
It’s a nice hotel outside of Dublin yet only 15-20 minutes to the airport. Comfortable beds, large bathroom and fun outdoor area. We would stay here again.
