We stayed four nights at Mountain Widok on our first trip to Ireland and really enjoyed it. The room was big and the bed was super comfy. We picked a room with a mountain view and it was fantastic. Every morning, we enjoyed our coffee while looking at the beautiful mountains.
Mountain Widok is close to everything. It's less than 30 minutes drive from Kerry Airport, near both Killarney and Killarney National Park, and just five minutes drive from Killorglin. It's a great spot if you're planning to drive around the Ring of Kerry.
The place had everything we needed. We could iron our clothes and hang them up in the room easily. The shower was great, too. It had extra jets on the sides that felt really good after a long day of hiking and travelling. There's also a small heater on the bathroom wall which is perfect for warming up the place during unexpected chilly spells.
I definitely recommend staying at Mountain Widok if you get the chance. It’s comfortable and convenient for getting around.

Comfortable & very quiet. Appreciated having the TV, Kettle and facecloths . Enjoyed a couple drinks at the pub next door and there's a store across the way for snacks, drinks etc. Parking was easy and it was a great location after a day of exploring Kerry. Great base to head to Dingle the next day.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location . I was made feel at home from the moment I arrived by Bernadette and John Joe who are the warmest genuine and obliging of hosts. Not to mention there mischievous sense of humour which gave me lots of laughs.
Lovely town with all our needs.foot paths along the river.
Lovely town with all our needs.foot paths along the river. Very welcoming town. People friendly, helpful. The information center was especially helpful. Hearing about puck was a lot of fun, we had delicious meals, and unexpectedly good weather. We took an extra day to just rest and walk about town which was a perfect size for a day of pottering around. Highly recommend it

Killorglin is an ideal place to stay when climbing Carrauntoohil. About a 15 minute drive to the Hydro Road Car Park. Also very convenient for other Kerry mountains. I would recommend Soy Y Sombra, best tapas bar in the South West.

It is a nice picturesque town on the River Laune. It was an excellent location for 4 full days of hiking in the McGillycuddy's Reeks. For the evenings there were quite a few good restaurants and bars in which to dine and relax.

Accommodation was very modern, clean and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. We decided to walk into Killorglin for evenings and had amazing meals at 10 Bridge St (converted church only open Thurs to Sat) and The Bianconi Inn. During our time in Killorglin we managed to complete the Ring of Kerry, take a boat trip from Portmagee to Skellig Michael (fish platter at The Fisherman’s in Portmagee was great), visit Kenmare, do the Killarney National Park, and walk the Gap of Danloe. Our accommodation was well placed to do these trips 👍
The setting was absolutely beautiful. The view of the lake and surroundings, and the walk through the gardens exceeded my expectations. The hotel is a perfect mix of old house beauty and modern comfort and conveniences. The bed is super comfortable, and the room is great. All of the staff were highly professional and welcoming at the same time. I highly recommend this hotel. Because of the location, it is probably advisable to have a car.
This was our 2nd time staying at this property. It is beautiful, clean, comfortable and very well maintained. We had dinner in the restaurant which was fabulous! And the breakfast offerings are some of the best we’ve had. It’s convenient for people driving the ring of Kerry who don’t want to deal with the crowds in Killarney. The staff are friendly and excellent. The little town is just darling.
Very good location, walking distance to all amenities in Killorglin town.
The property is located off of the main road so it's a quiet location.
Our room was very nicely furnished with neutral colours making it a relaxing space.
Beautiful views of The Reeks and the river from the garden.
Louise is a lovely host and made us all feel so welcome.
We loved the house and how close it was to killorglin. There was plenty of parking space and the house was spotless. The beds were super comfy and they had the softest bath towels. We were left some buns on arrival which didn’t last 5 mins as they were delicious and also a little pot of shamrock for Paddy’s Weekend. We will definitely be back.
This house in Killorglin was an excellent central location to explore the Dingle peninsula, Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. We also loved that there was a grocery store and lots of other good food venues within walking distance. The house was nice and spacious and we all loved being able to have our own bedroom with private bathrooms.
Killorglin is a great location to use as a base. Our host Ann was very friendly and welcoming. Her house was so clean, comfortable and extremely homely. The fresh scones and other unexpected and thoughtful items were such a lovely welcome on arrival! I would highly recommend this house. We had a fantastic stay and will return!
This property is a gem. More like an upscale hotel. Very comfortable bedrooms - extremely clean and well-fitted. Gracious hosts were very welcoming. Beautiful breakfast cooked to order. Nothing too much trouble. Wonderful views. We will be back!!
Great location to explore the Iveragh Peninsula / Ring of Kerry / Killarney etc. from at a fantastic price. Clean and homely apartment with a tea/coffee station with some treats available in a common space. TV in room (not smart).
We had an amazing stay, the views are spectacular!
The hotel and rooms in general are newly renovated so it is very clean and very cozy. Amazing beds and lovely and welcoming hosts!
Will come back and can highly recommend!
Comfortable en-suite room 3 minutes drive from Killorglins centre. Very friendly & available host. The only thing was that it wasn’t very warm in the room & the duvets were quite thin. Otherwise, would certainly recommend!
Location was great, beautiful views, close to the town and the Ring of Kerry. The host was very friendly and helpful and the cottage was very well equipped!
