Donegal was a very serene environment for us, we totally enjoyed being there. Away from the hustling of city life. We walked everywhere to pick up groceries and even to the Donegal castle just a few blocks away from our accommodation
We had a cruise on the Donegal bay boat, and we also visited Fanad head lighthouse. Totally fabulous experiences. The kids loved these

Donegal is a beautiful area, rugged and less crowded in April. Would highly recommend this area, particularly to people who like walking/hiking opportunities. Slieve League is a must and Glenveagh castle and gardens, which are open, are charming. Other attractions in the area are worth a visit.
I've stayed in the Abbey hotel a few times and couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough! The staff are so helpful and friendly.
It's right in the centre of donegal Town, plenty of lovely restaurants and bars around.will be staying here again on our next trip

Lovely cottage in a great location not far from Donegal town. Good communication from the host and she quickly sorted out a minor issue we had on the first evening.
