Excellent stay. Keith was so accommodating and very welcoming. Our dog was treated like a queen by all staff. Apartment very comfortable and spacious. Room 6 is beside the river ( I had earplugs so did block the noise out). Shower room fab and great service/ food in pub. First holiday with our wee dog and was lovely to be able to bring her into the pub with us.

The tourism people certainly know how to make the most of each area. A visit to the Castle, the riverside walk and the Abbey are all worth doing.
The shops in Donegal town are definitely geared for the foreign tourists but still worth a visit

The town is a real gem - small, attractive and with a lovely feel to it. Everything is within walking distance which is a great bonus. Parking is pay and display everywhere around the town but cheap and free between 6pm and 9am, so not a real issue. It has a blend of unique shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The castle is beautiful and an interesting place to visit. There's also a town walking trail along the bank of the river. Plenty to see and do for a day or so.

Donegal was a very serene environment for us, we totally enjoyed being there. Away from the hustling of city life. We walked everywhere to pick up groceries and even to the Donegal castle just a few blocks away from our accommodation
We had a cruise on the Donegal bay boat, and we also visited Fanad head lighthouse. Totally fabulous experiences. The kids loved these
