Highfield house bed and breakfast COLLINSTOWN, hotel in Collinstown

Offering an open-air bath and garden view, Highfield house bed and breakfast COLLINSTOWN is located in Collinstown, 20 km from Mullingar Arts Centre and 20 km from Mullingar Greyhound Stadium.

The breakfast was delicious and the location was ideal for my needs, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Paul went out of his way to make breakfast a little earlier for me when I told him that I had to leave earlier than expected.

Private 1 Bed Apartment in peaceful location, hotel in Collinstown

Boasting garden views, Private 1 Bed Apartment in peaceful location offers accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 20 km from Mullingar Arts Centre.

Very comfortable, excellent set up. I was passing through the area but it would make an excellent location to spend a few days exploring the area. The homemade blackcurrant jam was an unexpected treat that brought back childhood memories.

Lir Lodge, hotel in Collinstown

Situated just 18 km from Mullingar Arts Centre, Lir Lodge offers accommodation in Castlepollard with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as full-day security.

Lots to like about this B&B, including the price which is good value for a single traveller (unusually). The entire house is beautifully decorated and immaculately presented, and the rooms are all spacious. The house is in a really quiet location, ideal for people like me who demand a tranquil stay rather than the annoyance of noise… but it isn’t a long drive to Mullingar from here. This property is ideal for the traveller who likes to go self catering in the evening, as there is a full size well equipped kitchen with seating area. I got a good nights sleep, although I slept in the single bed because of the annoying green safety light above the double bed. A continental breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, bread for toast, and cellophane wrapped pastries is included in the price. The lady who runs this B&B seems pleasant and friendly, although one only sees her upon arrival - she replied quickly to my queries in the booking.

    Collinstown is a lovely place!

Collinstown is a lovely place! The Highfield House offered views of the Lough Lene, and the amazing green hills and valleys that just rolled on forever. Breakfast, full Irish as well as vegetarian, were offered. A short drive, offered options for a picnic lunch. A 10 minute drive to us to Delvin to a lovely pub (sorry I can't remember the name). The food and service were great. Collinstown and surrounding areas were easy and safe to get around. Locals were friendly, and happy to offer directions and make suggestions. Next time.....I will stay longer. I loved it. Thanks Yvonne and Paul.

We were here for a wedding in nearby Delvin, so didn’t have chance to explore much. However, the scenery is stunning and there is a local shop a few minutes walk away for any snacks/essentials that would be needed.
