Breakfast was not included, but we has cereal and fresh milk provided in our room, free of charge and water in the fridge which was lovely. The bed linen and towels were lovely and soft and fresh smelling. The bathroom was lovely and everything was very clean. Eddie was very accomodating to allow us to arrive late and very friendly, thank you. There was plenty of parking also. It was lovely to see the farm animals the next day

Places worth visiting are Cong, Achill Island, Turlogh museum, Westport House, Connemara, Jackie Clarke museum in Ballina. The shrine at Knock is close if you like that sort of thing. Airport is close.

Lots of facilities in the area such as a leisure centre and also a shopping centre with a late opening chemist. There are also a number of supermarkets and pubs / restaurants close by.
Lovely town that is close to a number of locations so ideal if you are planning to travel around the Mid West of Ireland or further afield. Good coach and bus links plus a train station too, so plenty of travel options, including being close to Knock Airport.

Room was lovely, v clean.
Room was lovely, v clean. However bar staff and waiting staff for breakfast were not mannerly and left you waiting for ages. Staff were rude. For breakfast they moved us from table even though there was no one at it and made a big deal out of it. They also did the same to an elderly couple after us and they had touched the cutlery and didn't sanitise the table or cutlery and another couple sat there then. Thought this was v unprofessional with covid 19. Kept moving people from tables, very unorganised and v slow considering it was very quiet there. Tables weren't cleaned in breakfast area and this was the same for bar. Only thing good about this hotel is the room, no people skills/customer service in breakfast room or bar area which is a shame.

The trip to Claremoris was very enjoyable as we went to Michael English weekend on the Friday night and Sathurday afternoon in the Mc William hotel. Great entermainent and met a lot of people. We had food in the hotel. Vey enjoyable trip.
This was a super location for us. We wanted someplace fairly central in the west of Ireland outside of the cities and with easy access to so many of smaller towns and villages. It had easy access to the coastline for day trips and to the many museums and places of interest. Ideal location to experience the Mayo of old. The Hotel is very well presented and has a lively convivial atmosphere. It was ideal for a stopover in a less crowded town.
I liked the large antiques-filled bedroom with high ceiling. There were various lamps in different corners which added to the atmosphere and increased the sense of space even more. It felt like I was in a grand Victorian hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and had good natural light. The stay represented excellent value esp for the time of year.
