Once we had changed rooms to a suite, we were in a happier mood. This hotel and woollen mill were busy places. Breakfast in The Loom was good, cooked to order, but lots of choice. In the evenings, we ate at Christy's the first night, and had a good meal (steak, salmon). After that we used the Chinese takeaway in Blarney village and had a lunch in Cork.
Muskerry Arms is located in the centre of Blarney. This traditional property offers a restaurant, bar and a lounge.

We (2 couples) loved our 3 night stay here. Our rooms were delightful, the hosts friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts delicious. Everything just as depicted in the photos on website. Close to supermarket in Tower and great pub restaurant in Blarney. Plenty to see and and easy drive to Cobh and Cork. Or even Kinsale for the day. Enjoyed wine on our balcony, but lounge and outdoor areas also inviting.

The facilities were spotlessly clean and suited our requirements perfectly. The property is in a fabulous area and so close to the village of Blarney which is a beautiful place and has a great buzz

Blarney made a great post for us to adventure around the south of Ireland. We spent 5 days here bouncing from Cork to the coast and in between. It is small and quiet but charming. There is plenty to visit in the town so we did spend a whole day here as well visiting the castle and local shops.

Blarney is a wonderful little town.
Blarney is a wonderful little town. We enjoyed eating at Muskerry Arms Bar and Christy's Bar while we were there. Everything was walkable and felt very safe. We also bought a few items from Blarney Woolen Mills. This store offered the most Irish wool clothing of anywhere we saw throughout our tour of the country.
We also visited Blarney Castle and grounds. The gardens around Blarney Castle are incredible. There is so much more to see here than we expected. Our trip was in March, so we needed to wear a light winter jacket, but that also meant there were no lines for kissing the stone and touring the castle.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. However, facilities were poor with no on-site restaurant after 4pm, reception area small, food only available in the pub next door. Fine for a business trip but not for a holiday, very basic.

It is a fab hotel but there is something going on with the lift. Every time we got into the lift there was a really bad smell. It smelt like sewage . When we were leaving that morning it was really bad. Other than that l had no complaints . Very happy.

The hotel was lovely.
The hotel was lovely. I was there during a very warm spell so opened the window for air. Unfortunately since my room also overlooked the parking lot, there was noise and light pollution. This would not have been a problem though, but for the open windows.

Lots to see here in addition to the castle.
Lots to see here in addition to the castle. There was no wait line to see the stone and I still spent about two hours looking around the castle and grounds. Note there is a considerable climb up a tight, circular, old stone staircase to get to the stone! But you can see most of the castle without climbing.
we really enjoyed our stay and our hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. rooms were clean and comfortable, the house was in a great location close to Blarney village and castle and an easy drive to Cork, Kinsale and Cobh. Breakfast was generous, fresh and varied. We would definitely recommend. Thanks again for making us so welcome and for all the extra details especially over the New Year.
Absolutely the best B&B in Ireland!! Olwyn and Douglas are such charming hosts. The rooms are very large and gorgeous!! The breakfast was delicious and the room where it is served is beautiful! When I saw the pictures of it online I knew that's where we needed to stay and it was even more beautiful in person. If we get to return to Ireland we will definitely stay here again, just longer next time!!
We stayed in the apartment which was perfect for us, 2 bedrooms, a small kitchen and bath. The owners stocked the kitchen with milk, juice, tea, coffee, yogurts etc for us and delivered warm croissants and cheese puff paste rows and bread in the morning. The accommodations were clean and comfortable after a long day of traveling and the next morning we were minutes from Blarney Castle. Excellent hosts!
Being an old woollen mill the hotel has a lot of character. Blarney is an ideal location if one wants avoid the bustle of Cork. Staff were most helpful and the breakfast was excellent.
The salmon dinner in the restaurant was excellent but the fish and chips suffered because of the poor presentation ( the cod dumped on a mound of chips, which should have been served separately ).
The staff were warm & welcoming.
Property had a lot of options for dining. Even a tea room for high teas!
Room was very clean, beautifully decorated.
Comfy bed. Great view!
Bathroom was clean with extra towels.
Location is easy walking distance to village, Blarney Castle & Stone.
Public transport is easily available straight to Blarney via Cork from Dublin airport.
This is a very good hotel very close to one of Ireland’s most famous things you must do. Kiss the ‘Blarney Stone’ at Blarney Castle. Breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was very very good. 👍👏. The facilities for dining at other times very good also. Overall, a very good hotel to stay at. It is a value for money establishment.
The location was excellent. 5 minute drive from the Castle and Blarney Village.
Breakfast was perfect and filled us for the whole day!
Siobhan was the perfect hostess, extremely helpful with regards to places to eat in the evening and genuinely interested in us and our trip.
Will be back there again on our next trip to the area.
Book early. So the suite of 2 bedrooms came available unexpectadly, so we were lucky. Hotels in cork were 400 for 1 night for one bedroom and we got 2 with à kitchionette. The beds are comfy, it has its own door, parking and the host vicky leàves you alone. Its close to a garage wìth hot food which opens at 6am in blarnèy
The hosts were delightful and the house was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and there was a big variety to choose from. Our room was charming and had probably had the roomiest bathroom of any of our stays Ireland. Plenty of free parking available and just a five minute drive to the pubs and Castle in Blarney.
Owners are absolutely wonderful and had set up a complimentary breakfast in the kitchenette. Would absolutely recommend for couples (or solo travelers) who want to see Cork and surroundings but prefer greener areas than the city. Blarney is lovely and the accommodation is a 15-20 minute drive from Cork City Hall
Staff was very accomodating and answered all our questions. The food in the restaurant was excellent . The music was very entertaining and my girlfriend said she coukd not hear it when she went back to the room. A 5 minute walk to the Blarney Castle and Blarney Woolen Mills.
Hotel has a beautiful historic feel. Staff is kind and friendly, food at the restaurant was great and the breakfast was made to order. Blarney is a perfect overnight visit, make sure to check out Blarney Woolen mills and of course the Castle! Loved our stay here.
Our host was extremely friendly and welcoming

Nice hotel with recently renovated rooms, all rooms were well equipped. Very clean. Good location in the centre of blarney just above a pub, next to a shop and within walking range to restaurants and take aways.
Loved that they were above a Pub with a restaurant that had really great food. I had the Irish Breakfast. I could walk to the Blarney Castle so easy. Other shops near by too. I would stay again!!!
Exceptional breakfast, room amazing, great hospitality and well positioned to visit Blarney Castle, Cobh and Cork and Kinsale Head and Kinsale plus Clonakilty. On driving trip.
