The room and shower was a tad small for 2 people, but the lovely welcoming friendly staff, great location and a fantastic breakfast made up for that. The location is absolutely stunning and quiet. Sort of rural with cows in the back yard. I would definitely highly recommend this Bnb.

Lot's of local history and just a 20 minute drive to the beach in Ballybunion. We also took the ferry from Tarbert to visit Co Clare on one of our days. We spent one day in Killarney National park this was our longest journey at just over an hour. To sum up Ballylongford is a good place to stay, a good location if you don't mind a bit of driving.

    The Castle is quite interesting.

The Castle is quite interesting. It is a strong stone tower construction that you can access on your own and climb a spiral stair up to the top floor. On a nice day the view to the surrounding wetland should be interesting (it raíned when I visited ...)

A hidden gem, the view of the castle from the bedroom window in the morning and the evening, the walks along the coastal areas, watching the tide advance and recede. We only stayed one night, should have stayed longer.

The owners were wonderful and made the stay very enjoyable. Lovely wee dog, too, Roxie. Breakfasts were good, with the option of cereals & yoghurt as well as the full fry. No view to speak of from my room at the rear of the house, but the immediate vicinity is fantastic and the causeway approach adds to the sense of welcome isolation. I really enjoyed the walks around the island, and visiting the nearby Abbey outside of Ballylongford, as well as Listowel, Ballybunion Beach, etc.

Wonderful stay. Mary was lovely and made us feel very welcome with tea and apple pie upon arrival. The room was a nice size and had a bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. It's a working dairy farm so we were able to watch the cows and Mary patiently answered all of our "dairy farm" questions. We chose this because it was near the ferry that took up to the Cliffs of Moher. Easy trip to the Ferry- easy trip to the Cliffs and surrounding area.

Mary's place is lovely. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and abundant. The best part is how warm and welcoming Mary is. She is truly a gem. We have stayed in countless b&bs, and this was, hands down, our favorite experience yet. Our only regret is not spending more time here. If passing through Ballylongford, don't overlook this spot!

Patricia and Gareth run a nice accomodation. They were very friendly and efficient, serving an excellent breakfast. We felt the overall value was good for the price. Our room, while quite small, was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the nearby Carrigafoyle castle ruins. 15-minute drive to Tarbet ferry for those going north by car.
