A wonderful place with amazing people around. Not quite walkable and you need to be either very brave to sit on a scooter or constantly order taxis (get the official ones). But food is amazing, views are to die for and beaches are very cute. Lots of trendy places and nice restaurants to go to. Definitely do the temple and Kecak dance performance.

As everywhere the roads are narrow and busy. It was possible to walk or take a short motorbike ride to the local shops, restaurants, and there was a good variety of them around. Travelling a bit further, there were beaches to visit and places of interest but the joy for me was that the community was friendly and it was not a major tourist area.

Don't go there if your idea of a beach holiday is to sit on a beach chair under a sunshade with a drink and a book, and occasionally splash a bit in the water. There are many other beaches in Bali for that

Uluwatu was such a relaxing and vibrant area with so many different activities. Whether you're looking forward tranquility, beaches, temples, restaurants/bars or waves for surfing - you'll find it.
Such a great mix of things to do and Uluwatu will live you happy regardless of what you prefer to do on holiday.
A totally different vibe from other areas of Bali and I'd definitely recommend spending some time here if you have the chance.

Uluwatu should be on your itinerary when traveling to Bali! It is a lovely place with a good vibe and perfect for surfing. We stayed at Ikigai, which is a lovely small resort. There were a lot of good restaurants and shops in the area. We were now there for 3 full days. Next time we will stay longer so we can explore more places, like all the beaches and stuff.
Villa Solanara in Uluwatu proved to be the perfect retreat for two couples, offering a compact yet well-equipped space to unwind after exploring southern Bali. Its strategic location made it incredibly convenient to access popular destinations like the Denpasar Airport, Sanur Harbour, Uluwatu Temple, and GWK Cultural Park. Nestled in a peaceful suburban area, the villa is surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores.

We loved this place! Great location close to the main areas of Uluwatu (just a short motorbike away or a little bit of a walk). The staff was great - they helped us check in super late at night (but make sure you let them know in advanced because security has to let you in). The guys even drove us to get our bikes and return them, and also booked a taxi for us to Seminyak. Loved the pool area - a lush villa vibe in the middle of Uluwatu. Great location so close to Single Fin too.
If you come to Bali in the dry season for surfing and spots like Padang Padang and Uluwatu are too heavy for you, Dreamland Beach is the perfect place. I could see how big the waves were from my hotel room and was on the beach in five minutes on foot. Other good surf spots such as Bingin are also within walking distance. The hotel is simple but good, the rooms are large, the bed is great and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Everything I was looking for. Thank you guys!
Great hotel for the price in Uluwatu! Amazing location, very spacious room. Walking distance to delicious restaurants. Close to a famous surfing beach. We took a look from the top of the cliff, but didn't make it down there due to our short stay. Super attentive and helpful staff. Our A/C was "underperforming" when we arrived and they sent a maintenance main to service it within a few hours. The pool area was lovely and a great place to cool off after a long day.,
We had the best stay at Onaya! It was so tranquil and Jenny and the staff could not have been more welcoming and accomodating, they made the stay feel like home. The bungalows are so cute, clean and comfortable and have a real authentic Balinese feel. The free shuttle around Uluwatu is such a great addition. Overall one of the best hotel experiences, we will definitely be back! Thank you so much Jenny and team! We miss you already
Ponduk Indah is a great place to meet people as a solo traveler as it is set up to be very social. Location is excellent, for both Bingin beach and to motorbike to Padang Padang and Uluwatu. The road up to it has hip cafes, collectives, gyms, yoga studios, restaurants, and shops. The family who runs it is lovely. I'm definitely going to stay there for at least a couple nights every time I go to Bali.

Oceanna Sunset Villa was a great found and an amazing stay. The place was only 5 minutes scooter ride to beaches and restaurants. The roads are a bit dark (Bali style). The villa is super clean, well designed and modern. The owner Gede and his family are amazing and was always whiling to help. Exceeded all of our expectations. Def the villa to go to in Uluwatu, book it . You guys will see us back very soon. xx
Our Villa was amazing! Beautiful setting and so private. Tranquility at its finest. What made our stay were our Villa staff - Made and Pande pampered and looked after us better than anyone we have experienced in our many many trips to Bali. The location on the cliff tops is breathtaking and the beach club was the best we have ever been too. Couldn’t rate our stay highly enough.

BoHo Bingin Beach Bali was a relaxing space which is in a great location. It is an easy walk to Bingin beach to relax, surf or enjoy the Warung’s. With a Scooter it is easy to access Uluwatu and other key areas. The pool was clean and the staff made the experience thanks to their help and relaxed nature.
The location was great! It was a quiet area. The bungalow's were beautiful, inside and out. The entire surrounding area was very well maintained. It was a wonderful place to relax and take in Bali. I will definitely recommend Nyang- Nyang Bungalow Uluwatu to anyone who asks.
The view of the sea is stunning including amazing sunsets. The food is amazing, we stayed in 7 hotels all around Bali and this was probably one of the best I Staff is great. Seating in the restaurant eating amazing food was the highlight.
The location is perfect for those who want to explore Uluwatu. Directly across the street front the entrance to Padang Padang beach and surf. The staff and owners are exceptionally helpful, take their advice on all things Bali.
Super cute, boutique hotel steps from Bingin Beach. The staff is incredible and always attentive, even bringing drinks to the pool or your room. Room is cozy, and the showers are always hot (not a guarantee in Bali).
