The Lesong completely exceeded our expectations. We expected a modest countryside abode but it was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and decorated. All of the rooms have a view over the rice fields to the mountains and are very private. Our room was down quite a few steps so, if you have mobility issues, ask for a room closer to reception. It was fine for us. It is secluded so, access to local attractions is via a decent trek or by car which the staff will arrange for you. The local walks and waterfalls are gorgeous.

Bintang Munduk is perfectly situated to easily walk to many of the beautiful waterfalls and the rice fields amongst lush forest growth .. the roads to both are peaceful.. the property itself overlooks a valley and the pool is clean and well positioned for relaxing .. we spent 3 nights here which was perfect for exploring and relaxing and the food selection was generous.. I am pescatarian and the restaurant caters well for that and vegetarians and very reasonably priced .. there was no need to venture out to eat .. at night we would have a pre dinner drink at the pleasant bar .. the manager and staff were always very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and can recommend staying at Bintang Munduk

The cold pool and jacuzzi, the beautiful sunset and fire-pit with marshmallows! To be honest nearly every aspect was perfect! We cannot wait to go back again! Staff were really helpful and simply wonderful. We went on the plantation trekking with Eddy and that was a great way to start the day and explore how the local ingredients grow.
We stayed in cabin 7 which we loved as the view with the big tree in front was very special every morning to wake up to. Breakfast was delicious especially the pancakes. Definitely try the Ulekan restaurant, their chicken satay was the best we’ve tried in Bali so far!

Gede and Coman's hospitality was exceptional. They did everything they could to make sure our stay with them was enjoyable and relaxing. Their accommodation is tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. The rooms and dining area have wonderful views within a peaceful, jungle setting. Although situated a little way out of Munduk, Gede provides a free local shuttle and took us to the start of the waterfall walk and the twin lakes walk, picking us up after we'd finished. On our return from a day spent exploring we enjoyed cups of complimentary ginger tea with freshly cooked banana fritters. Gede also offers a driving service for onward journeys. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful and extremely tasty evening meals are also available. We had a wonderful time staying at Artomoro and relished the comfortable, peaceful and relaxing accommodation. We had some really interesting conversations with Gede and learnt more about Balinese life. We highly recommend a stay here. Thank you Gede and Coman for letting us share your corner of paradise.

Beautiful new villas and bungalows overlooking stunning rice paddies and mountains. My bungalow was super comfortable, clean and well appointed. Staff were helpful and responsive. About 5kms from Munduk village and main walks but staff dropped me off and picked me up at the end. Good selection of food available at restaurant (limited places nearby) at a reasonable price. Would recommend this place for a relaxing, laid back experience

From the moment I arrived, again, I'm amaze by the magnificence of Shankara Munduk Bali. This time, I go here with my family and they really like it. This is my second visit, last time I visit with my Japanese friend and she loves the vibes so much. The villa itself is clean, very affordable price for this luxury accommodation and it’s near from tourist destinations.
The breakfast itself, I really love their Munduk Pancake, it's actually more like a crepes with icing sugar n honey drizzled on top - it’s unique and not too sweet. And for the food itself, I do love their Indonesian food, I think it was amazing, love the plating. Their chicken satay & banana fritter are must order!
And if you have more time, afternoon tea is a must, while enjoying sunset. They served us assorted Balinese traditional cake & hot tea, it was execute perfectly. We also went for sauna because the air here was a little bit cold. After that, we went for dinner in here too (really love their fried tempeh & gado2). And don't forget to sit at balcony and enjoy the fresh air!
The service was absolutely great! So friendly, fast-response and warmth, especially their FO, Juni, she explained what we're really need very well, really appreciate about that. I highly recommended Shankara Resort Munduk to anyone who wants to have staycation in Munduk. For this price range, it’s a very great deal !

The view was nice. The room was also spacious and the bed was big and comfortable. Good location for walking to waterfalls in the area. And they also have a decent restaurant in the hotel where you can have some food. Breakfast was also a good option to have. Amazing views to mountains from basically any hotel or restaurant. Many hiking trails to waterfalls or little bit further by the lake. Beautiful nature and very friendly locals. Stayed at Adila Homestay - very nice place with restaurant and many services on site + waterfalls hiking track behind their house. Also visited restaurant Made Warung and warung Kadirasa - both family owned by locals, in Kadirasa I was albe to sing karaoke with the owner. Please go and support them in every way possible, its really hard to survive out here for them.

I enjoyed taking up the offer of an upgrade from the MD and the views from the Floating Villa were breathtaking.
The Staff was great, polite, kind and friendly, MD was very helpful and friendly. I loved the views and the windows all around were great to see the changing views at all times.

Recommend some level of walking fitness before going - more than 1 500 uphill steps during the day resulted in delayed onset muscle soreness for a couple of days.
Take a GoPro for the waterfalls.
Water temple also worth visiting.

Excellent weather, albeit a bit chilly even in July. Greenery all around. Winding roads (not recommended to roam these roads by car if you get car sick easily). Plenty of waterfalls, though all of them require a bit of a trek. Very few tourists compared to southern part of the island.

For nature lovers that love to explore - tonnes of waterfalls in the area including the breathtaking Sekumpul Waterfall and the Lemukih Natural Water Slide were completely epic! The roads are decent to ride a scooter around and you get to see way more! On our next trip to Bali, we have already noted that Munduk is 1 of the places we would return to.
We’ve been traveling for two months and this hotel is one of the best we’ve stayed in. The service is impeccable. It’s truly a beautiful hotel. Our room (Robusto) even had a view of a waterfall. The food was absolutely delicious. All the staff was extremely friendly, but especially Nita. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One thing though, there are a lot of steps. It’s probably not the best place for someone with mobility issues.
The location is stunning right in among the rice fields of the farm. I enjoyed exploring the area and hiked to Munduk Village and 3 different waterfalls from the hotel. I also did a guided walk of Lake Tamblingan with the owners son Willy. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Bali. I loved learning about the community here and the importance of the lake and forest. The sunsets were incredible from my balcony. I was sad to leave this magical place.
Everything was perfect during our stay at Bali Rahayu Homestay. The view from the room is beautiful, the swimming pool is very nice too. Rooms are well equipped and spacious.
People are also very nice and helpful.
We did some hiking directly from the hotel, one in the rice terraces around the hotel, another one going to Munduk and on the other side of the hill to see beautiful waterfalls!
That’s the perfect place to visit Munduk
Me and my partner had a very pleasant stay at Munduk Clove, we enjoyed the beautiful view, the quiet area and the staff was really friendly and helpful. They arranged a scooter as soon as we arrived and on check-out transportation to another location and we were happy about the transparency of the taxi prices (they had a paper list with the prices for all the locations Canggu, Ubud etc.), the breakfast was tasty as well.
Bungalows are supercute and cosy and have a spectacular view over the mountains. Helpful staff that offer a do it yourself map to the ricefields and waterfalls (although the map didnt really work voor me, but maybe that was my fault :)) Munduk is a lovely village and a must see if you like nature walks. And Made Oka def a place where you should stay. Good opportunities to eat at their warung.
Everything! The owners were so kind, helpful and sweet, really made our stay memorable. They offer free laundry and their food is good and a fair price! Spring rolls were amazing!
The surroundings of the hotel are just beautiful! So close to the water falls and they give you a map. There isn’t much else in the area but we didn’t mind! Really relaxing after being in such busy areas.
This breathtaking hotel is nestled up in the hills of Munduk with the most incredible views. We were welcomed by the friendliest people and instantly felt connected to this place. There are so many complimentary experiences to take part in onsite and the rooms are a dream. Highly recommend spending at least two or three nights, if not more, to really enjoy it.
The best of this hotel is definitely the view and food, otherwise it falls a bit short even for the price.
People there are really nice although their food service is really slow (almost 25min wating for breakfast).
I recommend eating there, food is really good. You must try the vegan curry, the the noodles and the pandam pancakes, they are incredible.

Great location to explore the area by foot. We visited 3 waterfalls without any guide. We stayed in the family room which has a very good size. Rooftop restaurant has stunning views. We enjoyed a lot our visit to Munduk.

Being in Munduk, this hotel is a bit out of the way, but the spectacular mountain views and luxury tree-house feel of the "floating villa" room we stayed was truly special. Very highly recommended!
