Swar Bali was incredible bang for buck. Such a beautiful place for what you pay. A nice cosy room, big bed, good shower and toilet. We had a deck with our own lounge chairs overlooking the stunning view. The pool is also superb and the views great. Staff very friendly. Limited choice re breakfast but still great!

I recently stayed at Munduk Cabins and it was amazing! The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner offered a great variety of local dishes. I also loved the amenities (pool, massage), which were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!

I didn't visit the village of Munduk but absolutely loved the solitude and gentle peace I felt in the surrounds. It's a must if you need a break from the maddening crowds at the other over-touristy places in Bali.
And if you're in the area, definitely visit Banjar Buddhist Temple, Tegeha village

The nature is beautiful : waterfalls, jungle, lakes, rice fields, coffee plantation. However, except trekking, there is absolutely nothing to do in this area which is vey secluded. There are no taxis, grab, gojek etc… you have to book a private driver for everything (even going to dinner), which is quite expensive and annoying. We spent 4 nights there and it was too long.

Amazing views to mountains from basically any hotel or restaurant. Many hiking trails to waterfalls or little bit further by the lake. Beautiful nature and very friendly locals. Stayed at Adila Homestay - very nice place with restaurant and many services on site + waterfalls hiking track behind their house. Also visited restaurant Made Warung and warung Kadirasa - both family owned by locals, in Kadirasa I was albe to sing karaoke with the owner. Please go and support them in every way possible, its really hard to survive out here for them.

This is the real Bali. A true delight. The restaurant has lush green valley views and the balconies of the rooms look over rice terraces and palm trees full of coconuts.
The staff cannot do enough to help you and have a good knowledge of the local area for excursions. The temperature is a pleasant constant and the rooms have a bit of style.
This place is quiet and a 45 minute walk to Munduk. That is the charm. For a chilled break with some mountain walks to waterfalls and viewing points this is the deal.
The view from the balcony is unbeatable. The people are super friendly and helpful. So convenient to do the walks from the hotel. They gave me a small map at the reception of hikes in the area.massages are available right at the property. I was doubting whether I should go to Munduk since it’s a bit far, but oh boy was it my favourite part of Bali trip, I regretted I only stayed for 2 days.
Amazing view!! Especially when you love sunset or sunrise. The family is super helpfull and sweet. They coocked dinner and that was delicious. You have the possiblity to hire a motorbike and see all highlights of Munduk.
3 points for the view, one for the jacuzzi, and one area it was located.
You can walk down from the hotel and see 5 waterfalls within a long hiking day from Air Terjun Munduk waterfall down to Air Terjun Melanting.
