Traffic was horrifying with out highways. Sidewalks were poor and dangerous for walking and crossing streets.
Beautiful historic temples, and gorgeous rice fields, luscious scenery and friendly people made being tourist with an accommodating, patient, knowledgeable tourist guide made the trip worthwhile. I will return to Bali.

Our vacation was timed to coincide with the month-long Bali Arts Festival that began with a colorful parade on June 15 at the Werdhi Budaya Center in Denpasar. We did not do much else otherwise in the city than attend various cultural events in the Centre (we had already visited the Denpasar Museum during our previous visit in 2017). We moved to Sanur as soon as our preferred lodging (Wisna House) became available (on June 17). Sanur, with its long beach, has more concentrated activities to offer the foreign visitor: varied food, long walks, massages, etc.

Even in my quiet authentic neighborhood where my rental...
Even in my quiet authentic neighborhood where my rental villa was located, there were several small temples within walking distance. It was enjoyable just walking around the neighborhood taking pictures of the sights. Much of Denpasar is like this.

Not a place for tourists would suggest a day trip if you really wanted to visit and prices are slightly cheaper compared to the populated tourist spots such as Kuta/Ubud and Jimbaran etc.
There isnt anything to do and drivers were quite surprised to hear us say that we'd chosen to stay here for our visit. Locals do not speak english and was hard to communicate very few understood a handful of words.

It was fabulous and not too far from the airport and other lush locations. My hotel was on a main street so lots of hustle and bustle but we didn't notice until we were actually outside. It was easy to get to Finns Beach Club which is a must especially VIP and also although not so near Ubud it is still easily accessible. Favourite places in Dreamz Museum which is a 3D painting museum where you get to be part of the paintings, felt like a supermodel.

We were just in transit from Nantes in Brittany Europe to Darwin Australia but we will come back in a week to the same place in Denpasar and will travel to Flores and Timor

Always take a Blue Taxi which are the cheapest
We are not a young couple and are used to travel on a simple way 6 month a year as we are retired

What was not to like, stunning location. Beautiful room's.
Was blown away when we first walked in. Never stayed in such an idealistic location. Staff were so warm and welcoming. I don't usually write reviews,but this place should not be missed if you are staying in Bali

Good location for the airport. Just stayed 1 night after landing in Denpasar. Used Grab to get a taxi here (approx. 40 mins from airport. Nice setting - front garden is cool with all the plants and super friendly staff. Very spacious room, it was quiet so got bumped up to VIP room.
A great family run homestay! Lovely Balinese breakfast of fruit and banana fritter (& tea and coffee provided) and airport taxi provided too. Really lovely family and always willing to help. Clean rooms and good AC and small plunge pool and kitchen.
The location is very strategic, then the room is clean, and the price is affordable. our experience for stay at this hotel is good enough laa. i would book again if i'm coming to bali again.
